When it comes to taking a picture, angle is everything. Depending on the angle you choose, you could turn a normal sight into a really strange image. And that mostly just confuses everyone.
Needless to say, this list is full of confusing pictures that you’re probably going to have to stare at for a while to figure out.
“Chair.exe has stopped working.”
Anyone else getting flashbacks to the old Windows systems where windows would glitch out on top of one another? Okay, good, it’s not just me then.
This chair that looks like it’s missing some parts.
I’m not gonna lie, this one took me a long time to figure out. But you can just barely make out the cat’s eyes in this picture. Typical.
“At first glance I thought this was something flowing from the pipe.”
I’d like to think that the swan sticking its head in the pipe in this picture knew exactly what it was doing here. It had to know that it was creating an optical illusion, right?
“Pyramids in the distance.”
Wow, not only does this place have a beach, it has pyramids, too!
Well, not really. It might take a second, but you’ll probably figure out that those are just umbrellas. Eventually.
“Thought it was a mountain lion but it was just part of the tree.”
If I saw that while walking down the street, I’d absolutely start screaming and running away. Which would be super embarrassing, since that’s literally just a tree.
These birds are acting a little miraculous right now.
I actually can’t tell what’s going on here. Are the birds standing on ice? Is this just a super shallow layer of water on concrete? Can they really walk on water?
“I’m a janitor and I’m cleaning Lowes; this wall in the middle of these bathrooms makes it look like there’s one room!”
This is one of those pictures that’ll have you convinced there’s nothing weird going on, and then all of a sudden you see it slightly differently and go, “huh?”
I think the dog found a portal!
Well, it’s probably actually two dogs who happened to have had the same idea. But I kind of like thinking that there’s a portal in there, instead.
It was just there, I swear…
You know winter is going to be especially brutal when you see things like this. The fact that — despite whatever vehicle that made this icy outline is gone — the ice didn’t break or anything, is kind of scary.
Quick, catch him before he floats away!
This pup was probably enjoying a nice little run around the yard, even though it looks like that bubble is about to carry it away. Poor dog never stood a chance.
The paper is not in the bowl.
It really does look like there’s a wrapper in that bowl. It honestly took me a few seconds to realize that it’s actually underneath the bowl, instead.
Where’d the dog go?
Today, I learned that they make (really effective) camouflage outfits for dogs. But honestly, should any of us be surprised about this?
And it works a little too well, if you ask me.
There are three people in this picture.
You might not be able to see the third guy’s head, but don’t worry. It’s there. Somewhere.
Okay, but the longer you stare at this picture, the weirder it gets.
Cats defying logic once again.
I had to do, like, four double takes before I figured out what was going on here. It’s just a tail!
And here I was thinking cats figured out a way to do the impossible yet again.
“Curtains damaged by the Sun.”
It almost looks like, if you decided to step on top of that curtain, you’d fall through a hole in the ground. But don’t worry. You probably wouldn’t.
That doesn’t look comfortable…
It almost looks like the bride has her leg right on top of the groom’s shoulder, but it’s just his shirt. No wonder only the bride’s supposed to wear white to a wedding.
“Which side has cake?”
It’s the right side. But if I’m being totally honest, I straight up couldn’t tell at first. Maybe because I first saw it before my morning coffee…
“This is a giant hole, but it kind of just looks like a little hole in the ground with wooden floor panels. You can see tiny humans to the upper left of the hole.”
I have no idea how this huge hole in the ground looks like such a tiny hole in some wooden planks, but that’s what it looks like. What kind of sorcery is this?
This ruler’s reflection…
It’s so funny how the light hitting a ruler at juuust the right spot can make it look so odd. It’s one ruler, but it almost looks like two different ones.
“These burnout marks.”
First of all, what was the car that made all those marks even doing? And second of all, how come they look so three dimensional!?
