I don’t know about you, but before I get a tattoo , I thoroughly research the subject and the tattoo artist . Why do I do that? Well, it’s because I want to get the most skilled person for the job. And, of course, the main goal is for the tattoo to look good and last.
However, it seems that not everyone follows that path, and they often end up with less than the desired outcome. The following awful tattoos are the perfect examples of that.
These Exact Portraits
Oh my goodness, what do we have here? I admit the idea of these kid portrait tattoos was great, but sadly the execution lacked the skills to accomplish it. These are so bad I’m trying not to laugh too hard, ha, ha.
This Arm Tattoo
Whoa, this linework is so shoddy that a child could have done a better job, no? It’s so choppy and outside the lines. Whoever did this to this person should go back to practicing. Am I right?
This ‘Great Gatsby’ Tat
I don’t know about you, but this tattoo looks more like Leonardo DiLeprechaun than the real thing, haha. Do you see that? I mean, what is going on with his face here? Doesn’t it look warped or what?
This Fallout Boy Tribute

Ha, ha. I guess so. This is one of the weirdest band member tribute tattoo ideas I have seen. I wouldn’t even get the reference because I have better taste in music. Oh, burn!
This Cartoonish Nightmare
I admit the idea behind this cartoon tattoo could have been good. Could have been — is the point here. If only the tattoo artist knew what they were doing! Clearly, this isn’t how it was supposed to turn out, though, right?
This Laughable Pinocchio
Speaking of childhood favorites, were you a fan of Pinocchio ? Well, if you were, then you must be as confused by this tattoo here as I am. Didn’t anybody hear of spell check?

OMG, I’m usually a fan of beautiful tattoo back pieces. However, I can’t say the same about this one here. There is way too much going on in this tattoo. My eyes have no idea where to even focus.
This Unimpressive Snake
Typically snake tattoos aren’t for the faint of heart. However, this one isn’t scary at all. On the contrary, it looks more like a joke than any menacing slithering creature. I guess they weren’t going for that, huh?

Okay, because a rosary and a baseball make a whole lot of sense when put together in a tattoo, right? There is no rhyme or reason to have these two concepts in one tattoo, no? Are you as confused by this as I am?

So this lady boldly proclaims that she trusts her dogs more than she trusts humans. Okay, fair enough. But why did she trust a human to give her a tattoo like that, huh? I simply don’t get that.

Wait a minute, is this supposed to be Wolverine ? What in the heck? This is honestly the worst rendition on an X-Men-inspired tattoo I have seen in a while. And this guy got it on his entire chest and arms? Yikes!
This Back Piece
I don’t know, is it just me, or does this tiger look more like a monkey? Holy moly. Never have I ever seen a tiger with a face of a baboon. That is one unusual combination, that’s for sure.
Come on, people!
Are you kidding me with these awful tattoos here? Most of them look like somebody in prison did them. Am I right? These so-called artists shouldn’t even call themselves that. They pretty much give all tattoo artists a bad name, and that’s a real shame.
