Weddings can be full of drama. Whether it's about the guest list, the food, the dress, who gets asked to stand and who doesn't, the location, the drinks, the music — there are a lot of things that can get people worked up, even people who aren't involved in the wedding or even know the bride and groom personally.

One TikTok user's wedding videos created a stir on the Internet, but not for the typical reasons.

A lot of couples want to stand out or show off their personalities during their wedding.

A pretty common way to do that is to use the first dance or the entrance to the reception in a unique, clever, funny, or heartfelt way, which is probably what TikTok user Tenneggee thought the world would think about her own reception when she shared the video to her social media.

In the video, the bride is seen entering the reception with her groom on a leash.

The groom drops to all fours and engages in some dog-like behavior, including panting, begging, and even at one pointing lifting his leg to pretend to urinate on the bride's dress.

The video immediately blew up online, with many people in the comments leveraging some criticism the couple's way.

Some people wondered if the couple's race had anything to do with the act.

"This was not the dream Martin Luther was talking about," one commenter wrote.

"Come on bruh do you really understand what you just portrayed SMH," another added.

Some commenters felt it was inappropriate behavior in general. "Have fun at your wedding but don’t do all that in front of the kids," one wrote.

The couple has defended themselves against the criticism.

“The song itself means something to me and my family,” the groom revealed. “[My dad] made his own dance for it [a] long time ago. And ever since, it’s been passed down to my oldest sister and then me. It was showing that she finally got me. There was nothing like ‘Oh, well that’s my slave owner.'”
