Let’s talk about the Fast And Furious franchise people. For starters, did you know they race really fast cars in this movie?

1. Vin Diesel in *Tokyo Drift*
We almost didn’t get Vin Diesel’s cameo appearance in the third Fast And Furious movie, Tokyo Drift .
The only reason we did is that the studio gave him the rights to his “Riddick” character.
2. Paul Walker’s death
This was truly a sad time for all Fast And Furious fans, but it was an even sadder time for their star and personal friend of Walker’s, Dominic Torretto himself, Vin Diesel .
Not only did Vin say that the movie he shot after his brother’s death was “the toughest movie he ever had to shoot”…
but he also went through three boxes of tissues because he was crying so much.
3. Brian O’Conner
We might not have had Paul Walker’s brilliant performance as Brian O’Conner in the first place, because for a while it was rumored that rapper Eminem was going to get the part.
4. Vin Diesel’s baby
In 2013, when Vin Diesel and his wife Paloma Jiménez welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world, he named her “Pauline” in honor of his best friend, Paul Walker .
5. Letty and Brian
In the original script for the first movie, Michelle Rodriguez’s character, Letty was supposed to have sex with Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner.
However, that storyline was quickly thrown into the bin.
Michelle Rodriguez totally disagreed with the storyline, thinking it would be out of character.
Vin Diesel, luckily, totally had her back on this one. And it’s a good thing, too.
6. Jordana Brewster driving
Believe it or not, but before she got the role of Mia, Jordana Brewster had no idea how to drive.
She had to learn in New York City too, which must’ve sucked.
7. Michelle Rodriguez and Paul Walker
Michelle Rodriguez was not impressed with Paul Walker when she first met him.
In fact, she used to call him “Kenny Barbie Doll”. Later she realized how wrong she was.
8. Bow Wow actually learned Japanese
To completely immerse himself in his role for Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift , Bow Wow actually learned a little bit of Japanese .
Unfortunately, all of his Japanese dialogue was cut from the film.
9. The inspiration behind *Fast And Furious*
The idea of people doing sick street racing came from somewhere specific.
It was inspired by a 1998 article in Vibe, where they documented the life of NYC street racer Rafael Estevez .
10. The 13 minute runway
In the now-famous 13 minute runway scene of Fast And Furious 6 , fans calculated that the runway would have to be 28 miles long for it to be possible.

11. One movie was almost split into two
Not only was Fast And Furious 6 supposed to be called Furious 6 , but it was also potentially going to be split into two movies. One called Fast and the other called Murder On The Orient Express .
Nah, just kidding, the other was supposed to be called Furious .
12. Tommy Lee Jones was supposed to play Luke Hobbs
In the beginning, the role of Luke Hobbs was originally written for prolific actor Tommy Lee Jones.
Luckily for us (have you seen that fight scene between him and Vin Diesel?), it went to The Rock.
13. The amount of cars in *Fate Of The Furious*
There sure are a lot of cars in these Fast And Furious movies, however, the amount of cars used in The Fate Of The Furious takes the cake.
Over 300 were used.
