There are plenty of good and bad movies with scenes that know just how to get under our skin.
Quite frankly, some have been nearly impossible to move on from, and every time we re-watch it, or hell, even think about it, we get angry all over again!

One of the very first scenes of this film is disturbing (if you know, you know).
But after an entire two hours of watching and rooting for Dani to survive, she joins the cult. It was an awful ending.

The one detail about this movie that I can’t get over is: How come when the clock strikes midnight, her outfit and carriage go back to being ordinary or disappear altogether, but her glass slippers don’t?

From the get-go, this movie had a disadvantage because it was the follow-up to, quite possibly, one of the best superhero movies of all time. But the nail in the coffin was the subtle reference that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was supposed to be Robin. It seemed like a ditch-effort on the writer’s part.
The entire film led us to believe that his character was just an honest-to-god police officer, and then they hit us with a line that suggests he’s actually Batman’s famous sidekick. It was very conflicting.
*Alpha Dog*
What is really frustrating about this film, is that it is based on a true story .
The scene where Johnny murders Zack — an innocent 15-year-old — over a really insignificant amount of money, is deeply upsetting. It brings you back to reality in the worst way.
*Marley and Me*
This is the kind of movie with an ending that will , without a doubt, take you through a rollercoaster of emotions, ultimately leaving you irrationally upset. Especially if you’re a dog person.
Marley being euthanized at the end of the film is something I will never emotionally recover from.
*Stand By Me*
Chris and Gordie were BFFs. So, when Gordie’s brother dies and Chris loses it, thinking he’ll never amount to anything in his own life.
Ultimately, we learn that he went to college, became a lawyer, then died trying to stop a fight at a fast-food restaurant. I. Can’t.
*Brokeback Mountain*
All I wanted was for Ennis and Jack to finally end up together on some adorable, private ranch, and finally, have the freedom to simply be in love.
But no. The writers just had to kill off Jack in the worst way possible.
*You Were Never Really Here*
The fact that Joaquin Phoenix was the main character in this film made it worth watching. But I will perpetually be angry at that one scene that turns out to be a dream.
They got us all worked up, only to be like, “JK!”
*Bird Box*
There were a lot of scenes in this movie that made me want to rip my TV off the wall and throw it out the window.
But by far, the most upsetting scene was the one where Tom killed himself after being exposed to the mystery creature. He was the best character. I’m mad.
*Spring Breakers*
Look, I’m gonna level with you. This whole movie was a dumpster fire. But nothing will ever anger me more than that one scene, set to “Everytime” by Britney Spears, played on the piano, while girls in bikinis and balaclavas handle machine guns.
It was really the definition of unnecessary.
*The Little Mermaid*
Ariel gave up her voice so that she could be a human and be with Prince Eric. For the entire film, we watch her struggle to communicate, scene after scene.
But all along, we know that she can read and write, because she had to read and sign a contract in order to give up her voice in the first place. So my question is, why didn’t she use that as a form of communication?
*Titanic*
Okay, if there is any movie scene that’s bound to spark rage, time, and time again, it is this one.
How did Rose let Jack die like that? When there was clearly enough room for both of them on the floating device?
This will never sit right with me.
*Avengers: Endgame*
Honestly, watching Natasha die instead of Clint felt like a slap in the face.
Even though her upcoming movie is in her past, and we’ll get to see more of her, it felt awful to watch the first female (and only female, at the time) Avenger sacrifice herself.
*Frozen*
It’s not that Hans being evil was bad writing, in fact, the total opposite! It was an excellent plot twist on Disney’s end.
But the pure anger we all felt when he revealed his true nature will stay with us forever.
*John Wick*
Basically any movie where a dog needlessly gets killed is one that I will forever be gutted over.
To be fair, it did set the tone for the rest of the movie — and John did avenge the death of his dog. But it was definitely still upsetting!
*Annihilation*
To be honest, this entire movie was a compilation of confusing, frustrating moments.
But the climax scene had to be the most confusing. Not being able to fully grasp what on earth was going on made it difficult to watch.
