Comedy movies aren’t for everyone but these ones are for no one. Some of these are considered classics and are recommended by film buffs.
But it still doesn’t make them funny. For some of these, it’s a case of quantity over quality.
‘Cop Out’
Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan trying to track down a rare baseball card is a funny premise.

It’s just a super-extended racist joke.
No amount of hummus is funny enough to make a whole movie about it. C’mon.
‘Tucker and Dale vs. Evil’
This movie takes horror comedy to a whole other level.
The whole movie is one deadly misunderstanding after another. They get a few laughs but it gets old real fast.
‘Bad Neighbors’
Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne trying to raise a newborn next door to a frat run by Zac Efron?
That sentence sounds funnier than the entire movie was.
‘That’s My Boy’
The funniest thing about this movie is all of Adam Sandler’s outfits.
And even they couldn’t make up for all the rape, child abuse, pedophilia, incest, and ‘self-aware’ racism jokes.
‘Zoolander’
Ben Stiller’s rivalry with fellow male model Owen Wilson led to a few jokes.
But this entire movie relies on Ben Stiller’s weird pouty thing.
‘Trainwreck’
You know a comedy has missed its mark when LeBron James’ and John Cena’s improv was better than the two comedian leads…
‘Napoleon Dynamite’
Napoleon Dynamite is a love it or hate it kinda movie.
It gave us some hilarious moments to reference but it’s not worth a second watch, let alone a first.
‘Get Him to the Greek’
This Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off shouldn’t have been made.
No amount of Russel Brand’s charm can make up for the humiliating rape jokes.
‘Elf’
This one’s actually a good movie. But it’s legacy doesn’t exactly match how many laughs it gets.
Will Ferrell as a naive elf stumbling through New York is chuckle-worthy. But that’s about it.
‘Knocked Up’
Audiences complained that Katherine Heigl’s ‘stuck up’ character ruined the movie.
But the fact that Judd Apatow doesn’t know how to write women is actually what ruined it.
‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’
It may be a classic but that doesn’t mean it’s good.
This James Bond parody with Mike Myers playing the goodie and the baddie is just painful to watch now.
‘Little Fockers’
The first two Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro comedies had great plots, but Little Fockers was stretching it.
The jokes are recycled from the originals and the awkward humor went too far.
‘The Hangover’ Trilogy
The movies may have launched comedian Ken Jeong’s career but were they really that funny?
The formulaic ‘bro-humor’ plot was funny for about an hour. Anything after that, including both sequels, was predictable.
The Entire ‘Scary Movie’ Franchise
The first Scary Movie parodying Scream (1996) was hilarious. But did it really need four sequels? No.
Each one got worse and worse but are still somehow considered good comedy.
