I have to admit it’s not always easy to share everything with my online audience , especially since I’m pretty much a shy person. So I admire those who put themselves out there. That’s what Australian YouTuber Sara Holmes did.
And she did so right up to the moments of her untimely death. And after she passed, her fiancé shared an emotional message with her followers . Let’s find out more about this story.

Brisbane-born Sara Holmes racked up 350,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Until her death, Holmes lived in Korea with her Korean fiancé, Hyun, where she blogged about the local food and culture. But in May of this year, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
This rare condition only strikes about a thousand people a year in Australia.
Sadly, Sarah was one of the unlucky people to get this diagnosis. And in August, doctors gave her only a week to live. However, she was able to make it a bit longer than that.
Unfortunately, on September 1 Sarah passed away.
She was only 31 years old and her dying wish was to let her fans hear her recorded voice message after she passes. And that’s what her fiancé did in an emotional message to Sarah’s followers.
Sarah wanted to share some encouraging words with everyone.
“If you’re listening to this, I love you all. If you’re listening to this, I’m watching you all from the sky,” she said.
“I wanted to make it to the end. I will be taking care of all of you. Every time you see something beautiful, that will be me. This is not the end.”
She continued on to tell her followers, “I love you all.”
“I’m still fighting. I am fighting. I wanted to spend more precious times with all of you. I wanted to send you all a message, but this came faster than I expected.”
“I have made so many good friends. I guess I have used up all of my luck. I have no regrets. I wanted to spend more time with you, but I will be watching over you.”

The 40-minute YouTube clip included Sarah’s fiancé Hyun telling her followers that Sarah was a really kind person while crying in the video. He went on to explain that after experiencing blood clots and muscle pain on a trip to Brisbane to visit family the couple returned to Korea.
That’s when Sarah was diagnosed with the rare condition.
Even though Sarah was battling her health issues she continued working on her YouTube channel sharing her battles with her audience. She didn’t want to keep anything back and even tried to make light of the situation saying that she has cried enough so now all she can do is laugh.
So when her final days were near she made her wish known to her fiancé.
And after Sarah passed away he fulfilled her wish and played her final message to her YouTube followers. I don’t know about you but I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room after that.

“Whatever you do, even if you live healthily, you can just get it for no reason,” she advised her followers three months before her death.
“Actually, only 1000 people are diagnosed with it a year in Australia. So it turns out I’m one of those people this year.”
“I can only laugh. Honestly, I’ve already cried a lot, so if you don’t laugh, you just cry more. Right?” she said.
That’s so sad, but I’m glad that Sarah’s fans got to hear her one last time. It must’ve been tough for her fiancé to deliver this message. He tried his best to do it without crying, as Sarah asked, but that was not an easy task. What you be able to do something like this to fulfill a dying wish?
