Ever worked somewhere that had a breakroom thief? Somebody who would take your sandwich or drink out of the fridge and eat it without you seeing or knowing? Hopefully you haven’t because that just s***s. And if you are that person, knock it off.
A woman recently shared a story where she got revenge on a coworker who was stealing her special post-partum drink. How did she do it? By dumping a bunch of salt in it. The woman, who goes by lunalunaluna1999 on Reddit , posted that story to the Petty Revenge community, and commenters absolutely loved it.
The User Shared Her Tale, As Well As Some Additional Info.

This All Went Down A Few Years Ago.

OP is 23 now, but when she was 19, had her first kids. She would often work the night shift at a call center while trying to take care of her babies, including breastfeeding them. Because she didn’t want to have a lot of caffeine, she made a “special” drink for herself (which she revealed was just full of sugar) in order to keep herself awake overnight.
But she noticed that somebody had been drinking from the bottle she’d left in the breakroom fridge. Determined to catch the thief, OP created a decoy drink that was at least 30% salt. She waited until the thief showed up, and watched as the coworker spat the drink out, running away afterward. The revenge was definitely petty but was also pretty cathartic. Though OP doesn’t work there anymore, it’s still a good memory.
In updates and edits to the post, OP shared her drink’s recipe, but also cautioned breastfeeding mothers not to drink it. She learned later that it probably wasn’t the best for her health.
Commenters Applauded OP’s Revenge.

Unfortunately, this is something that happens in a lot of workplaces. A commenter shared how their former workplace had cameras up in the breakroom and would fire people who stole other people’s food. OP replied to the commenter, revealing that her former work just made it the employees’ responsibility.
Others Were Pretty Grossed Out By It.

This coworker would drink out of OP’s bottle and then just put it back. It’s amazing how people feel entitled to just… eat and drink other people’s food and drinks without permission.
OP would’ve gladly shared if the thief had just asked.
The Story Also Prompted Other Users To Share Their Revenge Tricks.

One user placed shaving cream in their decoy sandwich. They “only had to do it once” to get their point across.
Some people need to learn the hard way that you don’t mess with a coworker’s food.
