So, who designed your tattoos?
Most people either design their own, or have a professional tattoo artist design one for them. For Emily McNeill, however, the designers behind her newest tattoos are her grandparents!
So, how did that happen, and what did they end up drawing for her? Let’s find out!
Each grandparent was asked to draw a flower.
Emily handed each one a note instructing them to draw a flower. She recorded them drawing, then had them show off their creations for her TikTok! The flowers were SO cute.
The grandparents’ drawings were so precious.
After she collected their drawings, Emily took them to Urban Ink Tattooz in Belfast, Ireland. She had them turned into a stencil and then tattooed on her! I am SO loving this idea, guys.
The tattoo came out beautifully!
Each drawing translated perfectly into a tattoo. Emily had the flowers all lined up on her arm. I love that she put the busiest one at the top — the arrangement really works.
People loved how special the tattoos were.
Not only was Emily lucky that she was able to get all 4 of her grandparents to draw her flowers, she was also lucky they drew such unique, fun flowers for her!
She posted a follow-up video with their reactions.
After multiple people asked to see how they reacted to her project, Emily posted a reveal video showing each set of grandparents showing off the tattoos. These two were so shocked!
She explained their reactions:
While tattoos aren’t their thing, Emily’s grandparents support her decisions and know that she loves her tattoos. I love their attitudes! My grandpa is the same way. He doesn’t love tattoos, but he knows I love them.
The other set were so pleased.
You could tell this set of grandparents absolutely loved the project! Grandma noted that she drew her flower unevenly, but Emily told her the imperfection of it made it special!

She had each one point to their creation! I love seeing how happy the grandparents look. They may not have loved what they drew, but they clearly love having something so special on their grandchild’s arm.
This is just so special.
I wish I had thought to do this when all 4 of my grandparents were alive!
