Some people party on the weekends like it’s their job — and for the very lucky few, it is!
I don’t know about you, but when the weekend hits , I’m too tired to even think about going out. But I have friends who treat going out on the weekends like it’s their second job — and it turns out that if they played their cards right, it just might be! One TikTok user, Danielle Walsh, gets paid to do just that.
Danielle’s official job title is “party rep.”
She gets paid to meet up with groups (like bachelorette parties) and take them out for a night on the town. She got the job by posting fun drinking videos on her TikTok.
“It was such a fluke. One day in lockdown I recorded myself downing a pint of Malibu and milk – and it blew up,” she said . “The bar manager recognized me off TikTok and asked me to join their team.”
“I can let my hair down and burn off steam – while earning money – it’s a win-win,” Danielle said of the gig.
“We start off going for pre-drinks and then pedal around the town on a party bike,” she explained, adding that her TikTok popularity is a definite boost. “Loads of people request to have me as their rep because they recognise me from the internet.”
“It’s a huge release from a week of hard work,” Danielle continued, explaining that during the week she has a full time job in the care industry.
“I have always worked in care, but the care centre isn’t a nursing home, it’s like a youth club but for adults with disabilities,” she went on. “We do everything from personal care rehabilitation to taking them out for day trips to the beach and cinema. My weekends and weekdays are like chalk and cheese.”
“It’s absolute chaos but so much fun.”
”I absolutely love my life, but I don’t have time for a boyfriend,” she said.
