Lily the golden retriever is all for flattery but idolatry is another matter entirely. Recently, Lily was brought along by her mom for a very special trip to Home Depot.
Lily’s mom was determined to find a golden retriever statue that looked just like Lily . And while she did indeed find what she was looking for, Lily wasn’t at all pleased by the outcome.
Lily Is A Loving And Sweet Golden Retriever With An Attitude That’s All Her Own.

Lily is a fashionable pup who loves to accessorize her long luxurious coat by placing pink ribbons in her hair. She’s also a sucker for Halloween and looks paws-itively adorable when she dresses up in her favorite taco costume. But if there’s one thing that Lily loves above all else, it’s Christmas time! So in order to help usher in the holiday season in style, Lily and her owner decided to take a much-needed trip to Home Depot.
Lily And Her Mom Were After A Very Special Holiday Surprise — A Lawn Statue That’s Made To Look Like A golden Retriever Wearing A Santa Hat.

After walking around the store for some time, Lily’s mom was at a loss as to where to find the golden retriever statues. She asked one of the employees who kindly pointed her in the right direction and informed her and Lily that they’d nabbed one of the last ones in the entire store. Even though Lily had no idea what was inside, she was overjoyed just by the sight of the large cardboard box.
However, Once The Statue Was Removed From Its Cardboard Container, Lily Started To Get Nervous.

The statue itself shows a large golden retriever sitting politely while wearing a red bowtie, a Santa Claus hat, and a brown satchel across its body — with a blue ornament and a striped candy cane sticking out.
” Dat me? ” Lily’s mom hilarious captioned the video. Once the stamp of approval had been given, Lily and her mom promptly made their way back to the front of the store in order to pay for their purchase.
It Was Then That Things Started To Go Awry.
Once Lily had been secured in the backseat, her mom set out to carefully place the golden retriever statue in the back of the truck — only Lily would have nothing of it. She began to bark and bark as if half expecting the statue to suddenly spring to life.
” Dat not me! ” the video caption reads. “Imposter!”
Eventually, Lily was able to calm down and slowly began to warm up to the statue. Two days later, her mom took her on an impromptu trip to Build-A-Bear and all past transgressions were forgotten.
