For most people, using a public toilet is a living nightmare — especially when out on a date! But sometimes, though we may wish otherwise, there’s no choice but to answer when mother nature’s call.
But how long should you wait while your partner is indisposed ? This is the exact question a wife and Redditor posed after her husband spent nearly an hour in the bathroom !
A Reddit user and wife recently made a post about how her husband seemed to be spending a lot of time in the bathroom.

“My husband ‘Justin’ started spending a lot of time inside the bathroom after we moved into our new home ,” she began. “We’re talking 45 min for just ‘peeing’ 4-5 times a day.”
The seemingly excessive nature of her husband’s bathroom breaks began to bother her.

The wife goes on to say that since her husband would only use the guest washroom, it really only became an issue for her when they had company over or decided to go out to eat.
One night, her husband ‘Justin’ decided to surprise her with a date night out.

“We get to the restaurant, sat at the table and look at the menu,” the wife said. “Once the waitress came and took our orders. Justin started looking around saying he needed to go to the restroom .”
At this point in time, she began to sense that something was wrong. This couldn’t possibly be normal, could it?

“I gently reminded him that we were at a restaurant therefore he shouldn’t take too long inside the restroom,” the wife explained.
Her husband gave her a look of pure annoyance and said he’d be back in a minute.
As soon as he got up to leave the table, the wife began counting the time pass. After 10 minutes went by, she began to feel angry.
When another 8 ticked by — she started to grow concerned.
It got to the point where she actually had to text him because their meals had been brought to the table. The wife called and called but got no answer and no reply.
“I was getting fed up and the food was getting cold so I entered the men’s restroom looking embarrassed as hell,” the wife wrote.

To her surprise, her husband ‘Justin’ was indeed in one of the stalls and informed her that he’d be out in a few more minutes. She then returned to the table, waited another five whole minutes, and began to eat.
“I called his phone one last time after I was finished but he hung up on me,” she explained.

At this point, the wife was visibly upset. She flagged down her server, asked to split the bill, and got up and left.
Since her husband drove, she was forced to take an Uber home alone.
A little more than 20 minutes after she walked through the door, her husband finally arrived home looking upset and confused. He couldn’t understand why his wife had just decided to all of a sudden abandon him at the restaurant.
She decided to get blunt.
That he was “taking too much time in the restroom and had me wait for nearly 40 min while dinner was cold and I was starving.”
Her husband erupted. ‘Justin’ then attempted to flip the tables on his wife by accusing her of being selfish.

“He said he thought our meal was going to take time so he went to use the restroom and I should’ve waited for him a little longer after I notified him about the meal but I was too selfish,” she wrote.
Understandably, the wife wasn’t exactly pleased with being called selfish after her husband had left her alone for over an hour.

She said if that was how he wanted to behave — it would be the last time they ever went out to dinner.
With a growing sense of paranoia, the wife took to Reddit to ask what she should do.
Redditor Wise_Question9838 said, “I don’t know why but I’m leaning more towards drugs because of how he got so angry at her even though he is at fault unless he has always been like this.”
Another user wrote:
“I’m pretty sure he’s got a side chick. His reaction, his inappropriate use of the bathroom, everything. The ONLY thing I could think of was that he’s having an affair .”
What would you do if you were in the wife’s shoes?
