Wendy Williams has a long history of mercilessly shading celebrities on her talk show. Her latest victim? Adele.
Wendy called Adele “obese” before her recent weight loss transformation.
You might say that prior to losing weight, Adele was a curvy woman. But Wendy Williams described her as being “obese”.
But this really does not come as a surprise. Wendy is the queen of shade and I would never put it past her to say that.
This is far from the first time Wendy has shaded innocent people.
It would honestly be much easier for me to list the people that Wendy hasn’t shaded. But here’s a highlight reel instead.
John Legend.

John Legend was announced as this year’s “Sexiest Man Alive” according to People, and naturally, Wendy Williams does not agree with this choice.
“When I think about a sexy man, I’m not thinking John Legend,” she said . “The first thing I think of is that I weigh so much more than him. If we were walking down the street and somebody wanted to spray me with a water gun, I need a man that’s going to punch someone in the face. You know what I mean? John is not that guy.”
Ariana Grande.

Back in 2015, Wendy had some choice words about Ariana Grande’s body.
“She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12,” she said . “And I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and then you’re short — she’s only like 4’11″— I don’t look at her as, like, a woman.”
Beyoncé.
“I am a Beyoncé fan,” Wendy said . “I’m going to be watching this documentary even if she doesn’t introduce us to new stuff. I’m watching because fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning, so I’ll be able to understand what she says.”
“You know Beyoncé can’t talk. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth-grade education. She can’t talk.”
Meghan Markle.

She recently came for the royal family, criticizing Meghan Markle after her emotional speech about the incessant ridicule she receives from British tabloids.
“Meghan, nobody feels sorry for you. You knew what you were signing up for,” Wendy said . “You knew exactly what you were doing and I applaud her plot-ation on the royal situation. But please, don’t try to garner sympathy from us. You knew what you were doing.”
Ellen Degeneres.
After losing the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Daytime Talk Show of 2019 to Ellen Degeneres, Wendy said, “Congratulations Ellen, you won again,” she said , rolling her eyes, sarcastically adding: “She’s the people’s choice… alright.”
Caitlyn Jenner.

Although Wendy has considered herself to be “a long LGBT ally,” in an interview with Cosmopolitan when the reporter said, “all the Kardashian women,” Wendy replied, “No, not Caitlyn. Caitlyn still has a member. I mean, until you don’t — aren’t you caught in limbo?”
Anyway, that’s about the gist of it. Wendy Williams is a woman that speaks her mind.
So, on the topic of Adele’s weight, Wendy did not sugarcoat anything.
It’s no secret. Adele has lost a ton of weight.
ICYMI, this is what she looks like now.
Some fans have actually voiced their concern over how much weight she has lost, calling her “too thin “.
I, however, think she looks absolutely stunning.
She was beautiful before she lost weight and she’s beautiful now.
Do not argue with me on that.
“Adele lost this weight on her own,” she began. “We all know she was obese.”

“She wanted to lose weight . It hasn’t affected her voice. So what?”
Ultimately, Wendy was — in her own way — sticking up for Adele.

Since she used to be fat-shamed and now she’s being shamed for being too skinny, she is long overdue for some good, old-fashioned, support .
“I think she looks fabulous. She doesn’t look skinny. I think she looks wonderful,” Wendy concluded.
Wow, do my eyes deceive me?! Wendy Williams just paid someone a genuine compliment?
