Donald Trump’s stint on The Apprentice may have ended in 2015 but he’s never lost his flair for drama, and he’s shown it time and again. Most recently, the president reportedly considered making a dramatic return from his COVID-19 illness by ripping off his shirt , Superman-style — to reveal a Superman shirt underneath.
And it seems that President Trump has been mulling over similar made-for-TV scenes for the end of his presidency.

As The Daily Beast initially reported, President Trump has already considered staging a rally opposite Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021.
As NBC News reported, President Trump would skip Biden’s inauguration, which outgoing presidents traditionally attend, in favor of a rally for himself, at which he would formally file for re-election in 2024.
But the rally is only part of Trump’s reported plans for Inauguration Day.

As Axios reported , President Trump also wants to leverage the perks of the office one last time for a dramatic send-off. The scheme reportedly involves a flight on Marine One from the White House lawn, and from there a flight on Air Force One to Florida for his rally.
Advisors to the president declined to confirm those plans, however.

“Anonymous sources who claim to know what the President is or is not considering have no idea,” White House spokesman Judd Deere told Axios. “When President Trump has an announcement about his plans for Jan. 20 he will let you know.”
