On the tragic day, authorities responded to a call from Wendy’s neighbor about multiple shots fired in the 1100 block of Oxford Mills in New Territory at about 9:50 pm. Recalling the incident, the neighbor, Tony Thomas, revealed that he heard four distinct gunshots out of nowhere.

The sounds were enough to scare Tony, causing him to drop everything he was doing and check what was happening. Rather than head over to the gunshots’ direction, Tony came outside and called 911.
