A train car transporting approximately 30,000 gallons of propane was among six vehicles that derailed in Florida .
Ghastly Accident: Scene Described As A Minefield
It took place on Tuesday in a scene first responders described as a minefield.
The Trains Fell Off Tracks

The six train cars fell off tracks as a Seminole Gulf Railway train rode through Sarasota County , News Channel 8 WFLA reported.
What Were The Other Train Cars Carrying?
The other five cars that fell were moving sheetrock. According to the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue Officer, Robert Bounds, the accident scene takes the semblance of a minefield.
The Train Was Moving When The Accident Happened

The cars were moving on the cars lane and the train was on the train’s track. So, it was not just a simple miss, the cars and trains collided. The accident was fatal.
The Tanker Car Remained Intact
However, the proper tanker was not ultimately destroyed during the partial derailment. Also, there are no signs of leakage at the moment.
There Is No Real Emergency At The Moment
“Everything is under control as of now, no crisis. Nonetheless, we are on standby in case things go beyond control,” Bounds stressed.
The Tanks Are Well Sealed
“As of the moment, the tanks are not leaking and are well-closed, so no damage could lead to a leakage, but we will keep overseeing the situation.”
Workers Need To Draw Out The Propane
Employers will need to siphon the propane out of the tanker to move the train car upright and clear the tracks.
Things Can Go Wrong

Bounds revealed that the process of drawing out the propane can be dangerous. Things might go wrong, but we will work to avoid that.
There Is A Need For A Lot Of Monitoring
Danger may loom when workers come to offload the gallons of propane from the train. That’s when we have to tighten our supervision to ensure leakage is not possible.
The Train Is Being Monitored
Hazmat teams are monitoring the tanker from above using drones and on the ground with thermal imaging technology.
There Are Remediation Efforts To Savor The Situation
Bounds said the remediation efforts could take one to three days, and surrounding buildings could likely be evacuated while crews work.
Everyone’s Safety Is Essential

Bounds declared that everyone’s safety is of utmost importance. Thus, people living nearby the “minefield” will vacate their buildings up to 15th Street for a while until the products have been successfully moved and offloaded.
There Are A Lot Of Commercial Buildings Around The Minefield
The area near the tracks includes several commercial buildings where several hundred people work.
No One Is Injured

The section of the tracks where the train cars derailed is also about 700 feet from a homeless encampment.
Workers Speak With Individuals
Workers have spoken to the individuals about the situation. It’s unclear what caused the train cars to flip off the tracks, Bounds said. No one was injured.
Toxic Chemicals Could Be A Cause Of The Train Crash
The partial train crash comes weeks after a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, on Feb. 3 — worrying residents about the potential long-term health effects from the toxins released.
What Happened In Ohio?

A train derailment in a northeastern Ohio village Friday night caused a massive fire that burned through Saturday afternoon, forcing part of the community to evacuate. Roughly 50 cars being carried by a Norfolk Southern train derailed around 9 p.m. Friday in East Palestine, near the Pennsylvania border. The accident sparked flames that illuminated the pitch-black sky and created thick smoke that meteorologists said could be seen on the weather radar.
