There’s a current fad spotted on Instagram that I thought you might be interested in. We’re talking about “tooth gems.” Yes, that’s right. As weird as it sounds, let’s just keep an open mind and check it out.

What are “tooth gems”, you ask? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like.
They’re small gems that you put right on your teeth. But before you start screaming, “What? I’m not doing that!” Let’s just look into it first, alright?
I’m not asking you to become Nelly and get your whole mouth blinged-out (unless you like that look, ha, ha!).
You can be more subtle about it and put just one gem or a few tiny ones on your teeth.

That’s what I was talking about. Now that you see it, it isn’t so bad. Am I right? It’s kind of cute, isn’t it? Don’t you think it’s a fun idea?
So how is this done? It’s quite easy, really.
You just stick the gem on your teeth with a tooth-safe adhesive, and voilà. Your mouth will be sparkly in no time at all. Check out how pretty this looks here.
Now, I know what you must be thinking? What about cleaning your teeth?
Wouldn’t the gems just fall off? Apparently, when done by a professional, tooth gems allow you to clean your teeth as you normally would. The gem is sealed to the tooth so no bacteria can get underneath it. It is also recommended to continue seeing your dentist for regular cleanings after getting a gem.
As I said, it’s kind of a fad. So you can get on the bandwagon and try it out or not.
The choice is yours in the end. Would I do this myself? Probably not. After all, I’m a bit of a clean freak, ha, ha!
What about the fact that we’re all wearing face masks?
So how many people would get to see your “tooth gems”? That’s another thing to consider if you’re going to get this done. Why? It’s because it’s not going to be cheap.
First, you will need to pay around $50 to get these installed.
And then each gem/cap is about $20, so you do the math. These jewel-encrusted caps over your teeth are going to cost you a pretty penny. So keep that in mind.
Now, I’m going to ask you the question, “Is this something you would consider getting?”
