Do you feel like those perfect Instagram models are giving you a serious case of body envy? Then you’re not alone.
Girl, I feel that way too. But as this one fitness influencer named Imre Çeçen points out, it’s all about the perfect poses and best lighting that gets you those flawless pictures.
Let’s take a look at exactly what she means.
1. Real B**t Vs. Insta B**t
So it’s clear as day that even young girls can have cellulite and it’s really the pose that either shows it or not.
2. Bad Posture Vs. Posing
So those Insta models really do know that taking a picture with good posture will create instant abs. Try it and you’ll see.
3. Natural Shape Vs. Photoshop
Okay, so here you can clearly see that no real human can have a round b**t like this. So let’s cue Photoshop, please. This makes a lot of sense.
4. 30-Day Progress
This is exactly why so many people give up fitness too soon because if they don’t get this result after 30 days, they’re done. Not true (psst… this is so Photoshopped!)
5. Flexing Vs. No Flexing
So, in case you were wondering the legs on the right are just normal legs. And the legs on the left are clearly flexing hard.
6. It’s All In The Lighting
Instagram models are slaves to the lighting that only gives them the right shadows so they appear as if they have abs 24/7.
7. Flab Vs. No Flab
I’ve got a news flash for you, we all got flab and fat rolls. It’s part of being a human. It’s okay to show it.
8. Beautiful Vs. Beautiful
Whether you have a naturally flat stomach or some curves, you’re equally beautiful. You just have to love yourself — that’s all that matters.
9. Real Training Vs. Photoshop
Nobody can become an instant fitness model unless you resort to using Photoshop, of course. So don’t fall for those perfect pics on Instagram!
10. Flat Vs. Bloated
I have to admit this happens to me occasionally. Some days are better than others, but that bloated tummy is totally okay and normal as long as you’re healthy.
11. It’s All In The Posture
Here’s another example of posing for pictures with the most flattering posture. Clearly, the last pic is highly exaggerated to get the most visible abs.
12. Abs Vs. No Abs
Again, this shows you that even when you’re really fit you may not have perfect abs, and that’s where the lighting plays a role.
13. Flexing Vs. Slouching
We’ve all been told to stand up straight because it’s good for you and apparently, it helps you get better Instagram pictures, too. See? Everyone has belly rolls!
So now that you’ve had a lesson on how to pose for the perfect picture would you resort to any of these?
Or are you more about keeping things real? It’s so great to see an influencer be honest about what goes into her pics.
