Life is full of surprises, even if sometimes those surprises are… well, let’s just say they’re really strange. You never know when you’re going to find something that completely throws you for a loop.
People discovered these weird things, because of course they did. Lucky for us, though, they snapped some pictures of them to share with the rest of the world.
“I found plane wreckage while hiking in a state park this weekend.”
There are a lot of random things you can probably expect to find in a state park while on a hike. I’m pretty sure a wrecked plane isn’t one of those things, though.
It really makes you wonder what happened.
“Cat paw imprint on a 400 year old brick.”
Sometimes, it’s hard to believe that people who lived centuries ago had pets. Like, of course they did, but it still seems strange . It almost feels like they didn’t exist back then or something.
“Bought Purple pillows, and they came with Purple mattresses for hamsters.”
Those are some very oddly specific mattresses. But at the same time, they’re pretty cute! I seriously doubt you’d be able to get hamsters to sleep on them like they’re little people, though.

“My shoelace froze in this position.”
Either it’s so cold where this picture was taken that the shoelace froze on the spot, or there was some kind of witchcraft involved. I don’t know about you, but I’m sort of leaning toward the former.
“The way the tree has devoured this very old sign at Lime Kiln Point State Park.”
One of my favourite things to look at online is pictures of trees that have absorbed things left on their trunks. I don’t know why, though; it’s just so funny for some reason. Trees really don’t care about our silly little signs.
“There was an albino squirrel at my work today.”
I wonder if albino squirrels are, like, more common than other albino animals, because I’ve seen so many of them floating around the net. Maybe it’s just because there are so many squirrels in the world, though.
“This shadow from a clothing rack inside a store looks like a hooded figure holding a scythe.”
Sure, you may think you’ve just encountered the grim reaper while walking down a street at night, that’s just part of life, I guess. Weird shadows and death hiding around every corner.
“My gf eats pizza sideways…”
Is… is there something wrong with the middle? Like, no judgment (okay, maybe a little judgment), but this seems like such an unnecessary way to eat a pizza slice. You’re missing out on the best part, after all.
“They put the billboard upside down instead of having the Blizzard cup upside down.”
I guess whoever put that DQ billboard ad up didn’t get the memo. The whole point is that they can turn their Blizzards upside down and they won’t fall out, after all. At least it still gets the point across.
“Left deodorant in a cold car overnight.”
Who would’ve thought that deodorant could freeze? It looks kind of cool, even if it is a bit useless in this state.
I guess that’s what you call it when gel freezes over (sorry, I’ll show myself out).
“Spider mite webs that look like plastic.”
It kind of looks like there’s a couple of plastic sheets on top of these flowers.
But no, it’s bugs. Why is it always bugs? Why can’t it actually be plastic? Even though that would make zero sense.
“This strawberry plant grew out of the seam in our compost bin.”
I mean, I guess it would make sense for plants to grow out of a compost bin. But the fact that it’s essentially growing out of trash is a little off-putting. I don’t think I could bring myself to eat strawberries from there.
“Full Wall of Stacked Amazon Boxes with a Single White One in the Center.”
I’m not going to lie, that single white box in the midst of a bunch of Amazon boxes is kind of bugging me. It’s bugging me more than the fact that the boxes aren’t all facing the same direction, even.
“Soup of the day is beer.”
I mean, what is beer if not a strange, alcoholic soup? Okay, it isn’t a soup at all, but you still have to admit that, as odd as that sign is, it’s kind of effective.
“The (lack of) quality control on this measuring cup.”
Don’t you just love measuring cups that have wonky measurements? On the plus side, it looks like it has all the actual measurements, it just also happens to have the weird ones that will totally throw you off at some point.
“I found a small door at my gym.”
Wow! There could be anything on the other side of that door. A portal to Narnia. A secret tunnel leading to an underground speakeasy. Electrical and maintenance panels. The possibilities are endless!
“Streetlight keeping these last leaves alive.”
They don’t call it fall for nothing. But I feel like some trees are a little bit slower with the whole losing their leaves thing. Is it because they all have street lamps shining on them? Who knows.
“A rather expired jar of Karo syrup in my mom’s pantry.”
I know that in a lot of cases, the best before date is more of a guideline than a steadfast date. But this Karo syrup expired over 38 years ago, so it’s probably a good idea to not eat it by any means.
“This door with a handle in the middle.”
Sure, you could stick a knob in the middle of your door. But, like, why would you? It looks weird, and it seems like it would just make the door a lot harder to get open.
“Just moved into a new apartment and happened upon what I thought was a piece of painted over tape stuck to a bookshelf. Peeled it up to find it was concealing a mystery.”
The worst thing about this is the fact that OP never did check try to find out what the deal with this SIM card was. Then again, maybe we’re better off not knowing…
