Alright folks, let’s dive head first into the wonderful world of Marvel. Captain Marvel , that is.
Today we’re talking cool easter eggs too, so it’s a real double whammy we’ve got for ya today!
What a year it’s been.
Besides all the problems and downer issues going on in this totally messed up world, 2019 has been pretty decent pop culture wise.
We got a Pokemon movie, a couple of Disney ones, a Lego Movie sequel…
It’s been especially good for superhero movies.
I mean, come on, how can you even mention 2019 superhero movies without bringing up this absolute powerhouse of a movie.
What might be the thing that ends the superhero craze is the thing that lifted it to new heights.
That one shot.
Every time I write an article about Avengers: Endgame I talk about this shot, where Steve Rodgers faces Thanos’ army head-on because I think it’s important.
It really exemplifies how cinematic superhero movies really are, and how beautiful they truly can be.
And there are still more.
Even as I claim Avengers: Endgame will end the superhero craze, more are ready to come out in 2019.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is on its way, and so is Dark Pheonix .
It’s going to be a riot.
Yes, it seems that we’ll have much more superhero action to come.
Especially since Disney (who owns Marvel) is buying everything, we can look forward to a world where Black Panther, Homer Simpson, and Luke Skywalker team up.
One movie particular has captivated audiences.
Oh right! Captain Marvel was so overshadowed by Endgame that it’s hard to remember it was made in 2019.
However, it was, and I’m sorry I forgot Ms. Danvers. Please don’t beat me up.
It was a sweet movie.
Finally, we got to see a kick-butt chick at the helm of a Marvel film.
Alongside action, cool aliens and a sweet 90s theme, this movie was both nostalgic and awesome.
One moment in particular made us feel though.
And I’m talkin’ feel hard .
Like, the end of The Iron Giant played alongside Mufasa’s death in The Lion King played alongside the beginning of Up kind of feel.
Let’s go back…
To the far off time of November 12, 2018.
Unfortunately, that day the world lost a true superhero. It was the day that Stan Lee so tragically passed away.

He had one of his last trademark cameos.
One of the highlights of every Marvel flick was seeing when Stan Lee would show up, and the last two he’s been in were beautiful.
So, the Captain Marvel cameo.
Carol Davers is walking through a bus looking for a shapeshifting Skrull when she sees Mr. Lee reading his Mallrats script.
Sweet reference Captain Marvel , everyone knows your references are off the chains.
Anyways.
Right, so she pulls down the script, Stan Lee smiles at her and she smiles back, then returns to searching.
To the untrained ear, this might seem pretty standard of a cameo…
However, Reddit has trained ears.
One Reddit User named TheDocOfWho discovered that when Stan Lee appears, a variation on the Marvel music is played. Yes, the theme we all know and love.

Good, did you hear it? Cool.
Apparently, the idea came from Marvel Studios themselves. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck had this to say about the moment:
Co-director Ryan Fleck began with: “The Marvel logo was a Marvel thing that they presented to us. They said, ‘Hey guys, what do you think of this? We were thinking of doing this for the movie.’ And we were just like—“
“Loved. We cried,” Boden finished.

Sweet moment? Emotionally manipulative? The perfect send-off to an illustrious career of artistry and out-of-this-world creativity?
