Regardless of differing political opinions, the Obama family will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Their poise, determination, and love for their country has shined through every speech, initiative, and campaign.
Since the end of Former President Barack Obama’s final term in the White House, he and Michelle have been up to a lot.

After moving to slightly smaller house in Washington DC, they pretty much hit the ground running in terms of public appearances and social initiatives.
Michelle’s released a memoir this year titled Becoming which chronicles her life before, during, and after her time as First Lady.
Michelle has had a longstanding relationship with children’s health initiatives.

Her Let’s Move campaign was an effort to help raise a healthier generation of American children while she was in the white house.
The initiative involved a mixture of fun physical activities and informational sessions regarding healthy eating.
And now, Netflix just announced that the Obamas will be producing a new Netflix show for kids.
The Obamas’ production company Higher Ground looks to bring their mindset surrounding healthy eating to TV.
The show will be titled “Listen to Your Vegetables and Eat Your Parents”

Listen To Your Vegetables was created by Drunk History ‘s Jeremy Konner and actress, writer, and producer Erika Thormhalen.
Each episode will be half an hour long.
“The story will take young children and their families around the globe on an adventure that tells us the story of our food.”

The Obamas say that the goal of their production company is “to create content that embodies the core values of celebrating the human spirit through struggles and triumph; facing adversity through resilience, determination, and hope; lifting up new voices and stories to bring about change; and transcending divides to bring us together.”
With so much turmoil going on in the world, it’s important for kids to have empowering content.
An educational, kid-oriented show that promotes healthy eating, inclusivity, and an understanding of other cultures? Count us in!
Will the Obamas make an appearance?

Since they are producers on the show, it is unclear whether or not they will host or feature on screen.
However, with their press practice, I wouldn’t count them out of getting in front of a camera and being their inspiring selves.
Here’s to hoping that Netflix releases more info on the show soon!
It’ll be nice to have the Obamas in our lives again, even if it’s only for half an hour at a time.
