The Haunting of Hill House was a huge success with gothic horror fans last year.
Now, the show is planning on following the Crain family.

Which was also called The Haunting of Hill House and we can expect more concise storytelling from season 2.
1. Haunting of Bly Manor
Season 2 will be called The Haunting of Bly Manor , after its setting.
2. The ‘American Horror Story’ Influence
The following seasons are set to be an anthology of supernatural horror stories, rather than a continuation of season 1.
3. Season 2 will not follow season 1.
It will instead be a new story set in a new house.
However, we are set to see some familiar characters.
4. New Story, New Characters, Similar Cast.
Again like AHS, some of the cast will return for Bly Manor and perhaps later seasons.
5. Crain Family
The one member we are set to see again is the bent-neck lady!
Nell Crain returns! But not quite as herself…
6. Victoria Pedretti
Pedretti is the only confirmed cast so far.
Her role is the governess character, Dani, who lives in Bly Manor with her wards, two orphaned children.
7. Directors
Along with playing Dani, Victoria Pedretti will also be co-directing season 2 with Mike Flanagan.
8. Carla Gugino
Gugino has hinted at her possible return in season 2 although nothing has been confirmed.
We can’t possibly guess what kind of character she’ll play.
9. Release Date
Haunting of Bly Manor is set to release in 2020.
This means fans will most likely have to wait until next year for an exact release date as well as the first trailer.
10. Halloween Hype
Fans have speculated Bly Manor may release close to Halloween, the spookiest time of the year.
11. The Turn of The Screw
Just like last season, Bly Manor will be based on a book.
This time it’s The Turn of The Screw by Henry James which has been popular for stage adaptations.
12. Characters
We can assume that the Governess, her two wards and their absent uncle will all be featured in season 2.
13. We can also speculate on the nature of who or what will be terrorizing them.
But for now, it’s just speculations.
14. It won’t be exact.
Also similar to last season, this adaptation will not strictly follow the book’s plot, but will instead used as inspiration.
