Hannah Kobayashi has had the whole world curious about her travel plans. The 30-year-old was going to New York when she suddenly left in LA and headed to the Mexican Border.
Why did she change her plans? The reason behind this stunt is beyond anyone’s fathoming.

Kobayashi wasn’t on the flight solo; she had her new Green Card husband Argentina-native, Alan Cacace; her ex-boyfriend, Amun Miranda; and his own Green Card wife, Marianne, who is also Cacace’s girlfriend.

The real reason behind the trip
The DailyMail confirmed that the whole purpose of the trip was to convince immigration that the Green Card marriages are genuine. Cacace gave Kobayashi $15,000 for the trip and promised her the same sum once the documents that would keep him in the US were issued.
Too invested in the lie
The “couple” tied the knot in October, and Kobayashi showed their pictures to her colleagues where she works, at Up ‘N Smoke, the Maui smoke shop.
Cacace thought the wedding pictures weren’t enough and wanted to take them up a notch in New York.
Kobayashi had mixed feelings
Kobayashi’s colleagues told the DailyMail that she expressed feeling conflicted about the trip.
While she felt excited to tick a place off of her bucket list and be able to see relatives, she wasn’t comfortable with the idea of having her ex and the Argentinian pair around at such moments.
Kobayashi said she’d accommodate
Kobayashi told the trio that she didn’t want to waste the trip of her dreams on taking photos and that she had other plans. Eventually, she gave in and said she would reluctantly grant them one day of her vacation to satisfy their needs.
Marianne and Kobayashi were off on the wrong foot
Marianne was jealous of her partner’s Green Card wife, Kobayashi, so Marianne fought with her. Kobayashi expressed her frustration to her co-worker, Desiree, having stated clearly to Marianne that it was all already agreed to and pre-planned.
Kobayashi was reported missing three days later
Kobayashi’s family reported that she was missing three days after receiving some cryptic messages. Once Desiree learned of her friend’s disappearance, she contacted Miranda and questioned why he didn’t wait or look for her.
To this, he coldly replied that it was not his obligation and that his best guess was that she was off taking drugs.
Kobayashi and drugs
Sources told DailyMail that Kobayashi was known to use psychedelics, cocaine, and nitrous oxide. A person close to Miranda’s family told the outlet that she had a “heavy drug problem.”
However, Desiree acknowledges that Kobayashi’s use is only recreational and that she is known for being hardworking and reliable.
Kobayashi was found in Mexico
The police found Kobayashi walking across the border to Tijuana, Mexico and decided to close the investigation. This raised objections from the Kobayashis as they believed their girl was in danger, especially after receiving a string of strange text messages from her.
Kobayashi is now safe
The family announced on Wednesday that Kobayashi is safe after being missing for a month, and is now in touch with her family. “I’ve been running my brain all day, every day for the past month,” Desiree told the DailyMail.
“Something freaked her out that she dumped her trip and went to freaking Mexico. I can’t understand why she’d miss out on her bucket list trip,” Desiree continued.
