After his arrest, police found a loaded shotgun with more than 30 cartridges in a bush.
Police say Prosper had plans to attack his old primary school too.
He pleaded guilty to murder and multiple other charges

On Monday, February 24th, he admitted to murdering his family in Luton Crown Court.
Detectives were in shock over his plan to attack a school

Detective Sam Khanna from Bedfordshire Police said, “Fortunately, Prosper was apprehended before he could cause any further harm.”
“What was subsequently uncovered during our investigation left no doubt as to his intentions to carry out an attack at a school,” Khanna said.
Police say he wanted to harm the wider community
Speaking outside the court, he added that his team was in “shock and disbelief” when they realized Prosper had been planning to target St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Luton.
Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy said Prosper had plans to hurt the “wider community” as well. Thankfully, officers stopped him before he could go through with it. “We are extremely grateful to our officers who stopped him and prevented him from going through with his plans,” Murphy said.
The school says the victims were a cherished part of their community

A Head teacher at St Joseph’s, Maureen Murphy, shared that all the Prosper children had attended the school and were a “cherished part” of the community.
And since parents panicked about the whole situation, she reassured them that there was no threat to the school, confirming “robust” safety measures were already in place.
The council ordered schools to conduct another security review

Luton Council leader Hazel Simmons, MBE, said schools had already been asked to review security after the fatal knife attack in Sheffield—but now, they’ll be asked to do another review.
Police arrived after a neighbor reported a disturbance

Police got called to the family’s flat in Leabank, off Wauluds Bank Drive, around 5:30 AM. A neighbor heard a disturbance and got worried.
When officers arrived at the scene, they witnessed all three victims shot in the head. Det Supt Rob Hall, from the region’s major crime unit, had said before that officers were “met with such awful circumstances.”
The schools mourned the deaths of Kyle and Giselle

Kyle’s school in Luton said: “This is devastating news to all those who knew and loved Kyle, and it will take some time to come to terms with the profound sense of loss.”
Giselle’s head teacher also shared a statement: “Giselle was a beautiful soul and a model pupil. She excelled in all her subjects and will be sorely missed, particularly by her friends in Year 9.”
In court, Nicholas remained silent and showed no signs of remorse

Prosper is currently being held at HMP Peterborough, but he showed up for the hearing, which lasted less than 10 minutes. During the entire time, he sat down with his arms crossed.
Besides admitting to the three murders, he also pleaded guilty to illegally purchasing a shotgun, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and carrying a blade.
He’s set to be sentenced on March 5.
