Is there anything better than when Taylor Swift and Ellen get together?
Taylor stopped by The Ellen Show to talk about her new album. While there, she and Ellen played a game (of course). Taylor kept details of her new music a secret, but as for the rest of her life?
Well, they aren’t called “burning questions” for nothin’.
Ellen and Taylor sat down to play “Burning Questions”

Here’s a quick breakdown of the game:
Ellen sits next to her guest and asks them some of her most burning questions. When the guest is done answering, they hit their button. The button has no purpose.
Basically, there’s no rules and the points don’t matter. Also, there’s no winners. Let’s play.
First question

Ellen asked Taylor what the name of her next single is, to follow up “Me!”
Taylor couldn’t answer that. Duh.
“I can’t tell you that, that’s crazy!” She said.
Thank you for trying, Ellen.
Ellen then had a follow up question…

Can she sing it?
We all know the answer to this one, too.
“Uh, no!” Taylor laughed, before Ellen hit her button for her.
Okay, but for real: when is the next single dropping?
For her second question, Ellen moved off of music

I can’t begin to prepare you for how hilariously Taylor interpreted this question.
She said: “I go downstairs and I rummage through the kitchen, and eat whatever I can find, and it’s really less like a human being and more like a racoon in a dumpster.”
And then she just kept elaborating
“Like, the next morning, we just, we walk downstairs, and we’re like ‘What happened here?’ And I don’t remember.”
She hit her button, and Ellen was incredulous. See, she was asking what Taylor would do if she couldn’t sleep, not what Taylor did in the middle of the night.
Does eating in the middle of the night help Taylor sleep?

She said: “It’s not really voluntary.” She hit her button.
It took Ellen a quick second to figure out that Taylor was talking about sleep eating. It took Taylor more than a quick second to figure out that she totally answered the question wrong.
I love these two together.
**Number of button hits: 4. **
Number of questions answered: I guess 2?
Next question: What are some of her favorite TV shows?

Taylor was really into this question. Same, girl.
“Oh, god! Um, okay, so, Killing Eve, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, um, Queer Eye — I just, I gotta stop, though. Getting too excited.”
Ellen wholeheartedly concurred about “Killing Eve”
She hit her button repeatedly in agreement.
In case anyone wants to know the count, Ellen’s enthusiastic support of Killing Eve put us at 11.
And now, for the biggest question of the game.
Next question: What is the most rebellious thing Taylor did as a teenager?

Oh boy. Here we go!
Taylor started laughing immediately. “Probably when I put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much.” She hit her button.
Wait, Taylor did what now?
Yup, she sure did

Back when she was promoting her album, Fearless , Taylor went in on Joe.
He’d recently broken up with her, and she obviously was not his biggest fan.
She wrote a last-minute song for Fearless about it, called “Forever and Always.”
The breakup sounded difficult

When Ellen asked how hard it was to date someone who was so popular, Taylor pointed out how often she had to see his face.
“He’s on, like, pencil sharpeners, and t-shirts, and billboards, yeah.”
Apparently, there was even a Joe Jonas doll.
They did not part on good terms

When Ellen asked if the two could be friendly, Taylor had a rough answer.
“We haven’t talked since, actually. But you know what, someday I’m gonna find somebody really, really great who’s right for me.”
The audience cheered, but Taylor was not done.
Finish him!

After the cheers died down and she and Ellen bantered a bit, Taylor returned to the subject.
“It’s like, you know, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful. And when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds.”
It’s okay, though

“We laugh about it now,” Taylor said, after Ellen pushed her button for her. “That was mouthy. Yeah. Just some teenage stuff there.”
It’s actually so nice that the two have made up since then!
Joe and Taylor may remember…

…But one person sure doesn’t.
“Wow, that’s held onto you, because I don’t remember that at all.” Ellen said.
For the record, they pressed the button 12 times by the time the Joe story was over. Okay, bye!
