Today I learned that superheroes weren’t real… so I’m going to write this article because it’s my job, but I’m going to do so through tears and a broken heart.
Chris Pratt
It seems that ol’ Star Lord does not do his own stunts, and in fact uses a stunt double named Tony McFarr.
He also used this stunt double while filming Jurassic World .
Stephen Amell
This Canadian hunk is made even hunkier by the fact that he does all his own stunts.
Not only is he Green Arrow, but he’s also a Green Arrow that loves danger.
Mark Ruffalo
The Incredible Hulk (or should I say Bruce Banner) is incredible not for doing stunts, but for keeping his stunt and body double Anthony Molinari employed.
I hear the Hulk does his own stunts, however.
Margot Robbie
God, she is just the full package, isn’t she? Beautiful, funny and she isn’t afraid of a little danger.
Yes, as you probably guessed, this Australian actress does all her own stunts.
Tom Hiddleston
Loki, the trickster God, probably uses his body double Paul Lacovara to fool his brother or something.
Or he probably just uses him for stunts, I don’t know how Gods work.
Christian Bale
Yes, it seems that our generation’s (or at least my generation’s) Batman was also the kind of man to do his own stunts.
And I mean, with the badass nature of Bale, are you even surprised?
Anthony Mackie
Fun Fact: Not only has stuntman Aaron Toney doubled for Anthony Mackie (also known as The Falcon) but he has also stunted/doubled for Eddie Murphy, Chris Tucker, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Hugh Jackman
Well, I mean, of course, Wolverine did his own stunts. His healing factor probably kicked in every time he mess… what’s that? Hugh Jackman is just a regular guy?
Nevermind. Crush my dreams again, why don’t you.
Sebastian Stan
Not only is James Young the stunt double for The Winter Soldier, but he’s also the stunt coordinator for a lot of Marvel’s brilliant action.
Wow, he’s a man of many hats!
Chris Evans
Chris Evans is the prime candidate to do his own stunts. He’s in awesome physical shape, he apparently loves a good bit of danger and he honestly just seems like the type.
Brave, brave was the word I was looking for.
Karen Gillian
Not only did she use stunt doubles as Nebula, but also as the b**t-kicking action girl from Jumanji , pictured above.
Apparently, she knows a whole lot of fit redheads.
Chloë Grace Moretz
Even in her first role as Hit Girl, she was doing her own stunts.
She actually trained with Jackie Chan’s stunt team for three months prior to the role.
Dave Bautista
Huh… anyone else think it’s weird that Drax’s stunt double is named Rob De Groot?
Maybe that’s why he got the job… I mean, with a last name like Groot, it’s hard to not put him on the Guardians Of The Galaxy .
Tom Holland
I’d confidently say that Tom Holland was the man who was born to play Spiderman.
Not only is he in peak physical form, has a charm and wit to him, but he’s also a gymnast.
Brie Larson
Brie Larson, you get to go last because you are apparently a half and half. A semi-stunt person, of sorts.
Sometimes she’ll do her own stunts and others she’ll leave it to her doubles, Ingrid Kleinig, and Joanna Bennett.
Caity Lotz
See, Green Arrow isn’t the only hero who does his own stunts in the Arrowverse.
Enter Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance, aka White Canary. She also has danger for a middle name.
Lynda Carter
Whether you know her as Wonder Woman or the President on Supergirl , you will now know her as the woman who used to do her own stunts when she played the aforementioned hero on TV.
Ming-Na Wen
This woman has quite the storied career behind her. Not only does she play Agent May on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D , but she was also in Mulan and on ER .
Oh, and she does her own stunts. What a woman!
Hayley Atwell
This feisty British agent was a fan favorite from Captain America: The First Avenger , so they gave her her own TV Show, aptly titled Agent Carter .
And all that fighting/crazy stuff that she does? All her.
Willem Dafoe
God, do I love Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. Probably my favorite portrayal of a SpiderMan villain in all of the reboots, beating Micheal Keaton’s vulture by only a hair.
It makes it that much better that he does his own stunts.
Gal Gadot
Gal Gadot is one badass lady. She was enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces for two years early in adulthood (as most Israeli born people do).
Is it really a surprise that she does her own stunts?
Christopher Reeve
Christopher Reeve, many people’s original Superman, was an avid skier, horseman, scuba-diver, and pilot before his accident.
So, it’s no surprise that he insisted on doing his own stunts as well.
Chloe Bennet
This pop star turned actress was serious about her role as Quake in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , so she went through a bunch of stunt training in order to come off as authentic as possible.
Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck
Fun fact, this stunt double Albert “Spider” Valladares played both Superman and Batman in, you guessed it, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League .
Wow, what an honor!
