Saif Shaikh has been jailed after photos were released that showing him deciding to personally drive himself home from court despite just being given a driving ban.
According to Ladbible , the 20-year-old university student was in court on May 1 over a dangerous driving charge.
Before sentencing, Judge Timothy Smith prohibited Saif from operating a motor vehicle on the road, but apparently he didn’t hear that part.
Moments later, Saif left the courthouse and got into his car.
The Manchester Evening News captured photos of the student driving away from court, effectively violating his newly obtained driving ban in front of the very place that handed it down to him.
You can’t get much more bold than that.
Saif was arrested again and brought back to court where he insisted he didn’t understand the ban.

However, the District Judge wasn’t convinced.
“You were well aware you were disqualified from driving,” M.E.N. reports DJ James Hatton told the student.
“It’s difficult to image a more flagrant breach of a court order.”

The judge said he didn’t believe Saif could have possibly misunderstood the seemingly very clear terms of his driving ban, and expressed his disbelief at the student’s decision to get behind the wheel anyway.
“You were given that indication by a crown court judge but you chose for reasons best known to yourself to immediately leave the court building and get into your car,” DJ Hatton said.
Saif also reportedly tried to somehow blame others for his actions, which totally backfired.
After failing to prove himself innocent before the judge, Saif was reportedly jailed for 12 weeks for driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Moral of the story: don’t drive away from court with a fresh driving ban under your belt.
This might seem like common sense to most of us, but apparently there are some people who have a little bit of a harder time understanding it.
