I love plants, but there is one major problem. I can’t seem to figure out how to take care of them! I feel like I do all the right things, like sticking my finger in the soil to see if it needs water, giving them plenty of sun, and talking to them (you’re supposed to, okay?).
But it doesn’t matter what I do, because they just end up wilting on me. Don’t get me started on my succulents (RIP).
If you’re like me, then you’ll definitely be needing this planter that tells you when your plant needs water and sunlight so you don’t kill it!
This anthropomorphic planter is called a Lua planter by Mu Design.
It’s a smart planter that tells you about the health of your plant based on its facial expressions.
How freaking cool is that!
The planter connects to the Lua app by QR code, where you input what kind of plant you have.
There are many different kinds of facial expressions, such as a tongue sticking out, which signals that it needs water.
My favorite is probably the vampire fangs that signal that it needs more sunlight. That could be dangerous though because I would want to keep it on that one!
The planters can also look happy, sad, and grumpy.
The super wild part? It can detect movement and its eyes will follow the motion. When there’s no movement, it simply goes to sleep.
Kind of creepy, but super cool.
While it’s not available for purchase just yet, the company is hoping to release it this December, so keep your eye out!
This is such a great idea for plant lovers who also happen to be accidental plant killers.
I know that I need one of these — I can’t seem to figure out how to take care of my plants!
