Well this was bound to happen, wasn’t it? Things have been going so great for DC as long as they stick with the “one and done” type of movies.
The standalone movies, like Wonder Woman , Aquaman , Joker and of course, Shazam .

So, what’s this one going to be about? Only one way to find out…
‘Shazam’ was one of the more lighthearted DC movies, so obviously people enjoyed it.
As long as they aren’t doing over-the-top angry people punching each other in the dark, people will like it.
That’s why Marvel is such a success.
So obviously, a sequel was ordered.
Especially after the movie was a big success, making $364 million globally.
And after months of waiting, the people behind the hit movie have given us a release date:
April 1st, 2022.
So who’s going to be involved in this one?
Well, as far as we know writer Henry Gayden will be back to write the sequel (as well as possibly direct) and of course, the star of Shazam , Zachary Levi, will be back.
There’s one thing we should address…
Did you notice the date it was supposed to come out? Could this all be an elaborate April Fools joke?
If it is, we’re calling it right now. So it won’t be as funny.
