Sesame Street and CNN are joining forces to have an open dialogue about racism for children.
Information about the ongoing protests in the U.S. and around the world is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to follow their local trusted news outlet(s) to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding these events.
With the thousands of Black Lives Matter protests being held in America and across the world, the popular children’s program will host a town hall to help kids understand the current political climate.

In partnership with CNN, Sesame Street will host “Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism” on Saturday morning at 10 am ET.
Big Bird will team up with CNN’s Van Jones and Erica Hall to moderate the town hall.

Children are invited to learn about racism as global unrest continues over the murder of George Floyd.
Elmo, Abby, Cadabby and Rosita will also be present to answer questions submitted by families and viewers.
*Sesame Street* made their support of Black Lives Matter known earlier this week with a poignant Instagram post.

“Racism has no place on our street — or any other street… We stand with our friends around the globe to speak out against racism, to promote understanding, and to create a world that is smarter, stronger and kinder.”
The town hall will stream live on CNN.com and on the CNN app, so it will not require a cable log-in to view!
