Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and sometimes , Jake Gyllenhaal are a trifecta of handsomeness, charm, and comedy — literally the definition of #SquadGoals (or in my case, #HusbandGoals).
But most of all, they are the masters of trolling each other on social media.
Most recently, Ryan trolled Hugh on his 51st birthday, and it’s hilarious .
As you may already know, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have a long history of trolling each other online.
It’s the entire basis of their friendship — and the only reason I have Twitter.

Like the time Ryan made a fake campaign ad last year when Hugh Jackman was starring in Frontrunner .
He really went in on this one. Comedy gold.
This looks like it actually required a significant amount of effort. But it was 100% worth it.
I’m actually curious; did he make this on iMovie, or ?…
Or the time he trolled Hugh for posting this photo on Twitter of himself posing with “Wolverine” fans in Beijing.
He joked that those people aren’t actually fans, they’re picketers.
Or the time he posted this photo of Hugh after he received the Order of Australia, on Instagram with an absolutely savage caption:
“Receiving the Order of Australia is a HUGE deal,” he began.
“And despite what I tell anyone who’ll listen, Hugh Jackman is one of the finest, kindest, hardest working, generous and most talented people I’ve had the privilege to call my friend.”
It really seemed like, for once, he might not troll him. But then…
“There’s nobody better. None of this changes the unfortunate fact he’s a complete bastard,” he wrote.
At least some of it was heartfelt! I’ll give him that!
As I mentioned, sometimes Jake Gyllenhaal likes to get in on the trolling action.
Hugh and Jake managed to troll Ryan IRL and on Twitter.
Doubly hilarious.
Anyway, Hugh Jackman just celebrated his 51st birthday, and Ryan, of course, seized the opportunity to troll him by sending him a birthday video.
“Hello Hugh,” he starts off.
“I was just, uh, I was just going to wish you a happy birthday. Then I saw what you said,” he continued.
BTW, Ryan is referring to how Hugh recently teased Ryan during one of his concert tours.
“By the way, let’s see Ryan Reynolds do that,” he joked. “Don’t post that. Do not post that. I’ll have like three million tweets from him in the next ten seconds.”
“In a word? Hurtful,” Ryan went on. “Yeah. Enjoy the show,” he said before walking out of the frame.
He then returns to sing a very theatrical rendition of “Happy Birthday”.
And TBH, he sang in key. He wasn’t pitchy at all. It was impressive.
But then things got pretty hostile…
After his performance of “Happy Birthday” he had some choice words for Hugh.
“I’m not even [expletive] professionally trained, Jackman,” he shouted. “You piece of [expletive], [expletive].”
Thankfully, Hugh shared the video on Instagram for our enjoyment.
“At first I thought – Ugh, now I have to actually apologize. But then …,” he captioned the clip.
