If there’s one thing I love above all others when it comes to DIYs, it’s people doing whatever the heck they want with their own furniture.
These days, it feels like everyone has an opinion on how you should use your own stuff. If you paint your wood furniture, you’re a monster. If you DON’T paint your wood furniture, you’re outdated. There’s no winning!
So you can see what I totally love that people have started staining flowers into their tables.
How cool does this look?
“The light areas you see is the natural wood showing, everything else is one color of stain. I used my finger wrapped in a cloth to create this piece,” Misty Gaines-Johnson explained on Facebook.
The process looks so satisfying.
It would be really fun to only have one color to work with for a project!
You’d have to texture and shade the whole thing just with your finger (or a brush).
Some people choose to add color to theirs.
This flower was partially stained and partially painted!
The subtle paint brings out the shading in the petals beautifully. i like that they didn’t go too bright with the yellow!
