It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Well…there are no parties for hosting, but there are marshmallows for toasting, and caroling out in the snow, as long as you’re six feet apart ! There’ll be scary real stories about 2020, and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago!
It’s the most wonderful time of this crappy year!
There is no denying this is a Christmas season we will *never* forget, no matter how hard we try— and trust me, I will try.
However, there are still glimmers of hope the universe is sprinkling onto us, like fairy dust, or like sawdust from the DIY projects my husband swore he’d get around to last winter break, and the break before that, and the break before that .
Since it’s finally December, all our beloved Christmas classics will be airing on TV again soon!
Remember when we were told we wouldn’t be able to catch A Charlie Brown Christmas on TV this year? Oh, the panic it caused on my Facebook newsfeed. I almost considered getting Apple TV just to watch this holiday classic!
Thankfully, PBS came to their senses and decided it would air once on TV this year for people like me who refuse to purchase any of these ridiculous streaming services!
Panic then began to set in for people who feared all our Christmas classics would be given the same treatment. Can you imagine a Christmas season without watching *Frosty The Snowman* or *The Little Drummer Boy*?
Thankfully, it seems the rest of the TV world is keeping business as usual. In fact, tonight, they’re airing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on CBS!
FINALLY, some good news!
This 1964 classic has been a Christmas staple since it first premiered over 45 YEARS ago!

Interestingly enough, this movie has made me cry every year since!
I’m not proud to admit that a stop-motion reindeer has made me blubber cry year after year, but that’s where the world is at right now.
There’s nothing like grabbing a cozy blanket, a spiked hot chocolate, and a whole tin of Quality Street and watching this Christmas classic!
Also, I’d like to take this time to appreciate my favorite elf, Hermey! He is truly the unsung hero of this TV special and I demand respect for Hermey this holiday season!
Be sure to catch *Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer* TONIGHT on CBS!

Thankfully, we will get a second airing of this beloved Christmas classic on Sunday, Dec. 13 as well!
Will you be tuning into Rudolph tonight? Let us know in the comments below.
