There is no doubt that life in times of COVID has been challenging for all of us. Some people are still on lockdown, homeschooling their kids, or going stir crazy, to say the least.
Many businesses like restaurants are also facing difficult times since having to keep their in-dining experiences closed. But this particular establishment is having fun using their marquee sign to poke fun of the situation.

An Austin-based restaurant called El Arroyo has been suffering from COVID repercussions just like many similar businesses.
They had to temporarily shut down their in-dining experience but that hasn’t stopped them from spreading a little bit of joy throughout their community.
So they decided to use their signature marquee sign that stands in front of their restaurant in order to do so.
Every day passersby can see witty messages posted on their place card. And when I say witty, I really do mean witty.
Just an FYI, their nostalgic marquee sign has been around since the restaurant was established back in 1975.
Wow, isn’t that so cool? I gotta admit I really love these types of old school signs. We oughta see more of them, right?
They have been using it to update their community on what’s going on in the restaurant.
But once COVID hit they thought it would be great to use to spread cheer to everyone. And I for one absolutely love that idea.

I think it’s especially useful if you’re having a bad day and in need of some much-needed laughter.
If anything it will give us all something to look forward to — unlike waiting for 2020 to be over ha, ha.
Who knows what 2021 has in store for us? I’m scared just thinking about it. What about you, huh?

Before COVID we were all trapped at our jobs wanting to escape and run away home. Now, we all want to run away from home and go to work. How’s that for ironic?
This is especially true if you’re stuck at home with your kids.
Didn’t homeschooling sound like such a great idea until you actually started doing it? Now you really know how much your kids’ teachers are really worth. Three words come to mind: Worth. Every. Penny!
They even poked fun at the current political situation in the U.S. that’s bound to give some people sleepless nights.
My advice is — just roll with the punches. Nobody can really predict this one. You can try but I wouldn’t place any bets on it, ha, ha!
Then again remember that once this is all over life will go back to somewhat ‘normal.’
If only we can put social distancing to bed once and for all. There will be plenty of awkward moments, though, I’m sure of that, lol.

I honestly wish I had one of these marquee signs I can place in front of my house, hee, hee. It would be fun to see people walking by it only to start cracking up.
