Some problems don’t have a straightforward solution. Or maybe they do, but you don’t have the parts (or money) to fix them right.
But that’s perfectly okay. If the pictures in this list have taught me anything, it’s that where there’s a will, there’s a way. All you need is a little creativity , and you can pretty much solve anything (even if it means making something that’s kind of ugly).
“Curved sink making you have to hold your coffee pot? Use the handle on the middle of the sink to steady it and free your hands.”
Are we looking at a picture taken by a secret genius right now? Sure, it’s a very specific solution to a very specific problem, but that still counts for a lot!
“I was looking online for a product that would safely hold my house key while jogging. Then I remembered I had such a product already.”
Sometimes, you go out and spend money on something that’s just an overpriced version of something you already have. Like a safety pin. Never underestimate safety pins.
“When the cable is too short.”
Pretty clever, but this can really only work if your computer still has a disk drive — and most these days don’t. I guess for the rest of us, we’ll have to figure out some other way to support short cables.
“How to open a bottle of wine without a corkscrew. Use two drywall nails and a wrench!”
I think the back of a hammer would work just fine for this, too. Of course, if you’re going to be drinking wine from bottles with corks in them, you should probably just get a corkscrew.

As silly as it looks, this would definitely protect your car from hail. Not the regular, tiny hail (which pretty much does nothing), and probably not the super big hail, either. But that medium-sized hail better watch out.
“Leaf scooper from a broken shovel + lonely glove + liquid nails !”
I have to hand it to this person, this is one pretty clever way to make use of a broken shovel and a glove that’s missing its match. It almost seems like something you’d pay money for at the hardware store.
“That time we didn’t have a table but did have a door, laundry rack, and couple ratchet straps.”
I’m not going to question why they don’t have a table, but this is a pretty neat (and complicated) makeshift one. I guess you just never know when the mood to play beer pong is going to strike.

This feels like one of those things people do just to see if they can. And I, for one, think it’s totally awesome!

The fact that it’s been working for five years now is probably the coolest part. You can really make anything out of anything, huh?
“Old plastic shade broke on my favorite reading lamp. Fix cost less than a cent for the duct tape.”
I guess if the lamp itself is still good and it’s just the shade that’s broken, there’s no use in throwing it all away.
“Wanted blackout curtains, decided to make my own.”
Look, this may be pretty funny, but it’s also a little smart. Actual blackout curtains are surprisingly expensive (especially if you want them to actually block out the light).
“Maximum brushing power.”
In theory, this actually seems really smart. I just hope it doesn’t scrub so hard that it does more harm to surfaces than good. Still… I think using something like that would make me feel really powerful.
“Cake mixers are really expensive so I made my own.”
Okay, this is actually pure genius! As long as it works, this person probably just saved themselves hundreds of dollars. Those stand mixers are awesome, but they also aren’t cheap.
“Palm tree kept falling over.”
It’s not the most glamorous fix, but it definitely does the trick. Hopefully no one walks to close to that palm tree and carelessly trips on the rakes. That would really suck (and only be, like, a tiny bit funny).
“Turned an old Chromebook + an overhead projector into a regular projector.”
I’m not gonna lie, looking at this overhead projector is bringing back memories of boring school lectures. But the fact that it’s been made to work with a computer makes it so much cooler!

I can’t promise the is the safest way to cook beans in your hotel room but… it’ll work, at least. I give it an A+ based on creativity alone.
