Taking to Twitter, the rapper told fans he had recently had a “great meeting” with the POTUS and claims he “listened to what we had to say.”
“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership,” the rapper tweeted.
“He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”
The endorsement has caused an uproar on social media.
“You’re a [explective] idiot, dude,” remarked @tweeting_keith.
“He also promised to get clean water to Flint…he didn’t do it,” echoed @LittleMissFlint .
“Personally I don’t think he is that dumb… I think some money has exchanged hands somewhere along the line and he doesn’t care what happens to his black brothers and sisters who are not millionaires,” agreed @Katpa73 .
Lil Wayne has yet to comment on the backlash.
