On Thursday, April 3, 2025, reporter and pro-life activist Savannah Craven Antao was doing a street interview with a pro-abortion woman when things took a very violent turn.
A pro-life activist got attacked during a street interview

Savannah Craven Antao, a 23-year-old reporter for Live Action, was in Harlem, New York, doing a man-on-the-street interview. She was chatting with a pro-choice woman, though the woman’s identity is still unknown.
What started off as a calm discussion quickly turned ugly

The debate could’ve easily gotten heated, especially since they were talking about Planned Parenthood. But at first, it stayed pretty civil. They both agreed that there are other choices for women who don’t want to get pregnant or continue with a pregnancy.
Things took a turn when foster care was brought up

But then Savannah asked, in the viral video, whether foster kids should be killed just because “they’re not wanted.” That’s when everything started to shift.
The pro-choice woman had strong views on foster care
The woman responded, “Why not?” and then added, “Who’s going to take care of them? I need to know the percentage of people who take kids from foster care, abuse them, and make them personal slaves.
But before you know it, the debate got heated

She fired back, saying, “If I don’t want to have a baby, I should have the choice to keep it or not,” and called the interviewer’s suggestion for women to just avoid having sex “dumb as f–ck.”
Savannah couldn’t hold back and voiced her own opinion at the claims

She shot back, saying, “I’m not the one who admitted they’d be okay with killing babies in foster care and killing kids who’ve been abused,” pointing to what the woman had said earlier.
The attack happened suddenly and violently

Before Craven Antao could finish her sentence, the woman threw a few quick punches straight to the reporter’s face, then walked off.
The whole thing was caught on camera, and it quickly made people angry, shining a spotlight on the deep divisions in the ongoing abortion debate.
The reporter was left with blood all over her face and some minor injuries

Craven Antao ended up with a cut on her forehead and brow, with blood dripping down her face and onto her chest, as shown in the photos she posted on her social media.
She called for justice and shared her experience
Savannah posted on her Instagram, “I was just assaulted in Harlem while interviewing people on the street. In a cop car. On my way to the hospital. I’ll update you soon.” Then she added, “ABORTION SUPPORTERS ARE VIOLENT!”
