I have some good news and some bad news for_ Law & Order: SVU_ fans! The good news is the historic 22nd season of the crime show will be on our TV screens again in just a few short months!
The new season will be premiering on NBC on November 12th which is truly JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
The bad news is fans will have to wait for answers on that super dramatic cliffhanger from the season 21 finale!
It’s no secret *Law & Order* fans have been going though QUITE the emotional rollercoaster recently.
Ya know, like how the HIGHLY anticipated Chris Meloni spin-off series Law & Order: Organized Crime has been pushed to 2021!
And while fans at least won’t have to wait until next year for the new season of *Law & Order* they will have to wait to find out about the INSANE cliffhanger at the end of season 21!

Of course, the show had to abruptly stop production back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These days, fans are getting all their *SVU* updates from showrunner Warren Leight’s Twitter account.
Fans have been asking if the show will pickup at the trial of Sir Toby Moore and now, they’re finally getting their answers!
Replying to Twitter user @laura_navins speculative tweet, Warren said: “A lot has happened since we shut down in New York, and in our country.”
He continued : “First few eps will see our squad grappling with many of the losses and changes and challenges we’re all going through at this moment.”
When further questioned if he’s written the season premiere episode, Warren replied that “it took a village.”
While it’s disappointing that the cliffhanger of Mr. Moore will keep us in suspense, I think this new direction is awesome and super important!
