Sometimes, a certain sight can be inexplicably satisfying. Sure, there are factors that make it satisfying, but there’s no need to really think of them. Just sit back, relax, and allow yourself to be downright satisfied.

This is Shishi-Iwa, or Lion Rock, in Japan. If you capture it at the right time, it looks like the sun (or moon) is being held in its mouth.

The ice cubes in this glass of soda are aligned perfectly, so as to provide maximum cooling power.

I’m not sure if the water froze this way on its own, or if cracking played a role. Either way, it’s pretty satisfying.

I’m not sure if this giant sphere of wood is held together by resin or what, but it’s fascinating to look at.
Wrapped up.
Believe it or not, this hunk of seasoned salmon is actually contained in shrink wrap. It’s just wrapped up very tightly.
Nature imitates nature.
It’s pretty cool how this massive flock of birds has congregated in a way that looks like a horse, while horses trot along in the foreground.
Outlined.
I doubt the sculptor intended for this effect, but just look at the way that a bit of frost highlights the contours on this sculpture.
A glimpse outside.
This overhead projector is doing its job in reverse, reflecting the window to the outside on its surface below.
Rock fingers.
This rock broke in a fairly satisfying way. It almost reminds me of the garlic fingers you might order with a pizza.
