A Worker Rescues Cat From Being Crushed
The video of a man rescuing a cat from a trash cutter has gone viral. The video showed some workers sorting through trash. One of the workers was seen lifting a bag off the conveyor belt. To everyone’s surprise, the worker brought out a black cat. All the workers were in awe seeing that the cat could have been crushed seconds ago.

Reddit uploaded the video and it got a lot of feedback. Other Reddit users commented on how faith has been lost in humanity. Some commented on how the worker’s expression said a million things. A lot of people hope the cat mistakenly got into the bag and it was not done purposely by someone.
CCTV Captures The Heroic Moment The Cat Is Saved
CCTV captured the worker in his selfless heroic moment. The incident happened in Ulyanovsk, Russia at the Gorkomkhoz company. The footage was taken on December 21st. The footage showed the workers sorting waste when one bag failed to open. The bag was then taken off and cut open by the worker.
After taking a while to open it, the worker discovered it was something alive. To the surprise of all the workers present, it was a cat that was tied in the bag. The surprised man held the cat close to his chest while he stroked it. Another worker looked at the CCTV while gesturing to the cat. Then a worker radioed for help to attend to the discovery.
Update On The Health Of The Rescued Cat
The company director Igor Perfilyev soon later released the health condition of the cat. The director shared the cat has been well-groomed and is chubby and clean. He added that there was no scratch on the rescued animal. Having said that, the director talked about the inhumane act. “The cruelty of people is surprising,” he said.
He added that if the sack with the cat was not noticed earlier, it would have entered the separator. The director also added that fortunately, the animal was not hurt. However, the cat appeared to be scared. Perfilyev added that he was sure the cat was someone’s pet until the incident.
Other Cases Of Animals Rescued From Getting Crushed
In Perfilyev’s speech, he revealed that was not the first time pets were thrown into the garbage. He shared that the cases are becoming frighteningly frequent. The cat was the fourth animal that has been rescued by the employees in two months. Before the cat incident, an African hedgehog and two red-eared turtles were saved.
The incident also made waves on social media. People thanked the workers for their heroic attitudes. While others talked about what would have happened if they did not open the sacks. Although inhumane actions are rampant, thankfully some people still believe in humanity.
