Sometimes, we try very hard to leave our mistakes in the past, but some blunders are just too big to ignore.
Here’s a compilation of a few regrets that surely wake someone up in the middle of the night to wonder where it all went wrong. There’s a good chance they’ll stick with you, too.
1. The one and only time that Comic Sans would have been the appropriate choice for a font.
Who could have possibly looked at this design and been like, “Yep, this dripping lettering is definitely the vibe that I’m going for as a children’s entertainer”?
2. You wait, and you wait, and you wait for the right moment, but sometimes, it ends up passing you by anyway.
There’s also the possibility that this was done on purpose just to make you angry, in which case the real regret is clicking into this thing in the first place.
3. Honestly, by the looks of things, this woman seems like the kind of person who would realize what she did, laugh about it, and not change a damned thing.
Nothing, and I mean nothing can stop a mom with the ability to laugh at herself.
4. This may not be the most relatable thing in the world to everyone, but to a select few, I’m sure it means everything.
Somewhere along the line, someone decided to keep last names like these in circulation despite other meanings cropping up. I salute those people.
5. The only thing worse than a hipster is a hipster poseur.
To be totally fair, there are plenty of things that are worse than both of those, but for the sake of this joke, I’m going to stick with it.
6. Sometimes, in the transition from print media to online media, stuff gets a little lost in translation.
I’m not going to lie, I would 100% try at least three times to press that part of the newspaper with my finger just in case it did something magical.
7. Here’s to everyone out there who refuses to acknowledge that artistry is work and deserves to be treated as such.
You know who I bet has absolutely no regrets? That tattoo artist.
8. This is the kind of stupidity that only leads to regret once they’ve actually done serious damage to another human being.
“Whoops, I guess I never thought about it that way before.”
9. Sometimes, the road to extreme group vandalism is paved with good intentions.
Apparently, the school handed out these handy emergency tools during orientation, and things went a little off the rails.
10. Society is going to continue to be held back for as long as we can’t just own our farts.
Take the one I just dropped in the office literally five minutes ago. I’m feeling all embarrassed that anyone’s going to notice, but I’m secretly quite proud of how gross it was.
11. Sometimes, we have regrets for very good reasons, although sometimes, we’re actually only looking at the smaller picture.
I guess as long as you’re feeling bad about something, you’re on the right track.
12. As embarrassing as this is, I can think of a few ways that it might have gone a whole lot worse.
Let’s take a look in my Google history and see what embarrassing stuff I can find. Looks like the worst thing is “portrait bride washroom.” I swear it’s not as weird as it sounds.
13. And now we come to the section of the article where we look at a few people who definitely regret their last haircut.
Apparently, this is what happens when someone doesn’t finish what they st—
14. And this is why you should think twice about getting a haircut somewhere just because you had a coupon.
I’m not saying that it’s impossible to get a good deal, but I am saying that you generally get what you pay for.
15. More often than not, running from your problems just makes them worse.
Granted, not every hit-and-run ends up ending quite this karmically, but I think that my point still stands.
16. At the end of the day, you can’t live your life without at least a few regrets. But some of us manage to own them and live our most glamorous lives because of it.
