I know that for me, things go wrong a lot more often than they go right. Snags are just par for the course on pretty much any task I undertake. But, with time and patience and perseverance, you can at least get a thing done, if not done well.
That’s why folks who’ve managed to accomplish something impressive, even if not on the most consequential task, deserve to celebrate their victories. You absolutely shouldn’t sweat the small stuff, but hey, when the small stuff goes well, by all means have a good strut.

The difference between an amateur and a professional isn’t just the paycheck. It’s also experience. I’ve done enough amateur moves in my lifetime, but I could never approach the level of packing perfection on display here.

You just don’t see enough that’s done in the medium of margarine these days. But the uploader of this pic couldn’t help noticing how the margarine gods had smiled on them before spreading this tidy swirl on their toast in the morning.

Textbook.
As lattice work on the top of a pie goes, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one work out so well. Talk about appetizing. This is prop-pie-on-a-pro-baking-show levels of perfection.
The colors!
Obviously this tart will look much different when it’s cooked. But for now, let’s appreciate the effort and skill that went into slicing and arranging all that fruit so carefully to create that gorgeous gradient effect.
There’s an experiment gone very right.
“I melon balled a bunch of colorful vegetables to make it look like Trix,” the uploader of this pic explained. Now, clearly it won’t taste the same as Trix. There’s no way it could. But it still looks mighty inviting!

Was this ice cream cone poured too perfectly to be able to eat it? No. No ice cream possibly could be. But you do have to appreciate the aesthetic appeal before the first lick.

Whoever arranged these gummy bears should give themselves a giant pat on the back. It’s not a perfect gradient, but it is a wonderfully attractive arrangement all the same.

And this parent definitely deserves a moment or two of pride for their project. Hannibal from The A-Team isn’t the only one who loves it when a plan comes together. What a terrific treehouse that should provide countless hours of fun and memory-making.

This berry merchant has attracted at least one eye with their colorful display. It’s kind of a shame that taking a pint would mess up the arrangement, but hey, I think the seller would be okay with that.
Serious progress.
Someone trying to restore an old, weathered deck clearly knows what they’re doing. From top left to bottom right, it’s almost like new again after a wash, sanding, and staining. Well worth the effort.
That’s a new one.
You’ve heard of paper cranes, of course, but someone decided to make one out of pastry. Even after cooking, their work held up. Might be a cool new look for dumplings or wontons, don’t you think?
Experience pays off.
This isn’t so much a finished work as it is a progress pic from a person learning crochet. You can see how the crochet loops are loose while they were learning towards the bottom, but as they learned and improved, the loops got much tighter towards the top.

If, while baking hamburger buns, I ever managed to bake a golden dome like that, I’d have to bake another right away because I’d never be able to cut into something so gorgeous.

Not only that, but there isn’t even a hint of brown inside the avocado, meaning they’ve managed to catch it at the split-second of ideal ripeness, too. I never knew I could have such avocado envy.

You know you’ve done a great job when the seats change color because of the deep cleaning they got. The secret, just in case any pet owners out there were wondering? A rubber brush, a powerful vacuum, and about six hours of work.

Because it must have taken some serious time to arrange these shirts. Thank goodness someone took a pic, because it won’t take long for shoppers to come in, pick through all the shirts and thoroughly mess it all up. I mean, how could you resist?
