When someone comes to visit the United States , there are some monuments and places that everyone knows to go see. From national parks to monuments and historical sites, people know the most popular landmarks that are a must-see.

Mackinac Island in Michigan may not be your number one travel destination, but many say that you can bike everywhere and catch some scenic views.
Also, they make “their own peanut brittle” every day from scratch, and who doesn’t love peanut brittle?!
If you like the Grand Canyon, you’ll love this.
“Palo Duro Canyon Texas the second largest canyon in North America (obviously after the Grand Canyon). Pretty well unknown so hiking is nice as you’re often left alone with little traffic,” said shinerbocks .
Many people go to Montana for Yellowstone, but there’s more to see.
Reddit users suggest that if you happen to be in Montana to see Yellowstone or Glacier, there are other places to see, including Butte, Montana. The city has “a ton of history and character,” which sounds like a ton of fun!

“Salem, Massachusetts. Yeah, the witch thing is great and the autumn colors are amazing. It’s a nifty historic small city with close access to Boston. Salem’s brick downtown is fun to explore,” shared CitizenTed .

One Reddit user said that they went to Idaho on a business trip in Utah and drove “for the hell of it.”
