Being a bridesmaid is an honor for many people. Being asked to be part of someone’s special day and stand beside them is a very special thing.
However, weddings have the tendency to change people, sometimes for the worst. Some brides can go from chill, calm, and easy-going to super crazy and neurotic . They become bridezillas overnight and, being in the bridal party may be more than you bargained for.
Kicked out for not being “pretty enough.”

whitknee shared that she was asked to be a bridesmaid in a wedding and helped the bride plan just about everything. Then, she found out the bride took the rest of the wedding party dress shopping without her. She later found out she was “kicked out” of the bridal party because she wasn’t “pretty enough” and the bride wanted her photos to come out perfect.
Some people are so insensitive.

lemonhoneydew shared that she was asked to be a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding, while at the time going through chemotherapy for cancer. She was very sick at the wedding and was throwing up. She took a short nap before the ceremony and overslept for only a few minutes. Her brother came in to wake her up and called her selfish and embarrassing.
She was asked to dye her hair.

“Bride was blonde. All bridesmaids except for me were brunettes. She asked me to dye my hair brown for the wedding because she, ‘wanted to be the only blonde.’
I suggested that instead I just give up my bridesmaid spot. Thankful to this day since I heard the dresses and bachelorette party cost all the other girls more money than I make in a month,” said kmmurky .
It can be expensive.

fancypants32 shared that her friend was actually kicked out of a wedding party because she couldn’t afford everything the bride wanted. The bride wanted her to pay for the hotel the night before the wedding, bachelorette trip, hair, makeup, dress, and shoes. It came out to be way too much.
Brides never consider others.

MommaBearJam shared she had an ectopic pregnancy and lost her baby. She was asked to be in the wedding of a close friend who had just gotten engaged. However, she said she wanted her to “wait until after the wedding” to try to get pregnant again because, if she lost the baby again, it would take away from her wedding day.
Some people can be so greedy.

“My wife’s best friend is a florist by trade, gifted her services to decorate her friends wedding. (Big cost savings). Wedding goes as planned all is good. Afterward, Bride & Brides mom get pissy at florist friend who didn’t give a gift in the wedding card, ‘didn’t even cover her/husband’s plate’ Let’s conveniently forget the $1000 in floral products gifted to the wedding, it’s a rift that never healed between them since,” said Hard_at_it .
Family always comes first.

theuncannyvalleys shared that she couldn’t attend her friend’s “last-minute destination wedding” because she had to visit her dying father out of state, he was on his last few days from cancer. The bride threw a fit and attempted to guilt-trip her because she couldn’t afford to make both trips.
She had a “resting b*tch face.”

BrookeKat said she was kicked out of a wedding party for having “b*tch face” during the bachelorette party. However, her nephew is currently sick with cancer, her grandfather was dying, and she had been a COVID-19 pandemic nurse for over two years. She was going through a lot and no one even cared to ask.
Petty is as petty does.

volcanicpale said she wasn’t even asked, or invited, to her best friend’s wedding. The bride had planned her own bachelorette party, attending her wedding, saw her through major milestones in her life. The reason? She was “too overweight” to be at the wedding and would “throw off” the photos.
Pregnancy is “bad news” apparently.

Karimann said she and her husband were both asked to be in the wedding parties of friends. When she went for her dress fitting, she ended up finding out she was pregnant. However, the bride said it was “inappropriate” to have a pregnant bridesmaid and she was kicked out of the bridal party. However, her husband stayed in the groomsman party.
No birthdays, no fun.

“Her bachelorette party was the same weekend as my birthday. We weren’t allowed to do anything for my birthday at all on the trip. Not even mention it. On my actual birthday, some of my friends got some balloons and a little cake from the hotel.
They tried to keep it a secret but Bridezilla came in the room, saw everything, didn’t say a word and walked out. She was pissed because our friends wanted to do something small for me on my actual birthday,” said rational_adult .
Handsy moms are the worst.

MiaNW8 said that the bride picked strapless dresses and during the wedding, her bra was hanging out just a little bit. The bride’s mom decided to shove her hand into the bridesmaid’s dress to fix it and cover her bra in front of everyone at the wedding.
All of the bridesmaids left.

BARDLover shared all of the bridesmaids walked out on the day of the bride’s wedding because the bride ripped the bridesmaid’s dress from the neck down because the dress was “too white.” Even though the bride had picked the dresses out herself.
Sometimes, people suck.

smnth123 said she was a bridesmaid in a wedding and she had shelled out so much cash for the dress, hair, makeup, and more that she was going to wait to give the bride a wedding gift after her next paycheck. But, before she could say anything, the bride sent her a nasty text about it.
This takes the (wedding) cake.

“Not a bridesmaid, but my mom was a wedding photographer for many years. Long story short, the father of the bride had a heart attack and as he was being carried out on the stretcher the sobbing bride yells, “How could you ruin my wedding like this?!!!?,” said remberzz .
