Unless you live off the grid, then you’ll know there is currently sort of a toilet paper shortage going on. No, people aren’t going to the bathroom more than they used to. COVID-19 is here, and it means social distancing, self-isolating, and self-quarantining are happening, and people think toilet paper is going to run out while they’re hunkered down in their homes.
Well, people are taking the toilet paper shortage into their own hands and going old school.
If you have some crochet skills, then consider crocheting your own roll of TP.
Toilet paper has been around for quite awhile, but there was a time when people had to use other materials to clean up.
Since toilet paper is taking a bit longer to get stocked up again in stores after all the hoarding, people are having to get creative!
Now, these posts do seem to be more in jest than anything, of course, and they’re more like novelty items.
Although, you may really have to utilize your crochet roll if the shortage continues!
Redditor Katiehwll made a “pandemic preparedness scarf” that rolls up into a toilet paper roll.
It’s actually adorable and super wearable?
It will absolutely keep you cozy while indoors.
If you didn’t know where to start on your own roll, Etsy seller kiwicrochets made a pattern to get you through.
Find it here .
You don’t have to worry about stocking up when you can just make it yourself!
