If you’re regularly tuning in to watch Wheel of Fortune , you know Pat Sajak is usually a calm, cool and professional host. It’s rare the beloved TV personality will ever make a mistake with a contestant — he truly is an old pro!
However, last week viewers saw Pat accidentally give an answer away to a contestant, only to have them not even notice !
Pat Sajak is known for being the face of *Wheel of Fortune* since 1983, alongside his partner-in-crime, Vanna White!
People love to cozy up every weeknight and watch these two entertain fans across the country!
After filming a series for so many years, you’re bound to make a mistake or two here and there, right?
Well, it turns out Pat recently made one of those mistakes while hosting an episode ast month, and the contestant didn’t even NOTICE!
Over the past several months, Pat’s behavior on the show has been worrying some fans.
This all started when he snapped at a player in November, calling him “ungrateful.”
The moment took place last winter when contestant Darin McBain challenged a puzzle.
He had been tasked with coming up with words that started with the word “kitchen.”
While he was able to correctly guess “cabinet,” “towels,” “oven,” and “sink,” it was “kitchen oven” that struck a nerve.
“Kitchen oven?” Darin asked, visibly confused.
“What was that? Who calls it a ‘kitchen oven?'” to which Pat snapped back: “Don’t! You won! Don’t argue, Darin! … You got the puzzle. Ungrateful players! I’ve had it!”
By the end of the episode, Pat apologized to the contestant.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you, Darin. I just don’t remember your mother giving us trouble like that,” he said.
He was referring to the fact that Darin’s mother was a three-day champion on the show back in 1982.
Fans took to social media and had a lot to say about Pat’s behavior.
Of course, since it’s the internet, this moment will live on forever.
At least now, Wheel of Fortune fans have a different moment to laugh at, like when Pat accidentally gave away the puzzle answer, and the contestant still didn’t get it.
It all started when the contestant on the bonus round received six of the 12 letters for a puzzle.

The board, which was divided into two words, read:
_ _ _ T E
_ R A N _ L_
“Yikes,” Pat said. “Well, I’d rather be standing here than there, quite frankly.”
As it turned out, quite frankly, was the answer! However, the frazzled contestant didn’t catch on and didn’t figure it out.
And the end of the show, Pat addressed the blunder. “It goes to show you that people are concentrating and they’re not paying any attention to me,” he joked.
Of course, people had a lot to say on Twitter.
“Quite Frankly! It stumped me too!” tweeted one fan.
“Wow. The puzzle should have been thrown out and a new one given to the contestant, had that got caught in time by the producers. But he didn’t get it anyway, and the prize budget stays untouched for another day,” remarked another.
