Sometimes, these people can have ill intentions and it’s safer to make up a lie than tell the truth.
The first lie is when people ask if it’s your first time visiting.
If someone asks you this, Cathy suggests saying, “no, I used to live here.” This way, people believe that you know your way around and you also know people nearby.
This can protect you and maybe save your life!
Another one is if someone asks if you’re staying at a specific hotel.
Sometimes, people want to know if you are staying there or somewhere different.
This can pose a danger for robbery or even abduction if you are traveling alone. So, Cathy says to say you are simply waiting for a friend to arrive.
Someone also may ask where you are staying.
Like previously, knowing where you are staying can pose a threat and also leave you vulnerable to attack or robbery.
No one is safe from anything when traveling, just look at Kim Kardashian in Paris! The least expected things can go south sometimes.
