Let’s go through a little recap.
Dany T, Mom of Dragons, That Girl With The Long Name finally won the Iron Throne.
It just took eight seasons long to do it.
And then she died.
Murdered by the man she loved, Dany did not get to actually rule the kingdoms.
The Mad Queen had to be put down.
Then the council had to decide what to do.
They had to figure out not only what to do with prisoners Jon and Tyrion, but also what to do with the kingdom.
So, they chose a new king.
And it was Bran Stark of Winterfell. Or as Tyrion so lovingly puts it, Bran the Broken.
It was a controversial pick, but one cast member actually knew it would happen!
The source? An old interview from 2017.
The interview stars Gwendoline Christie, who played Brienne of Tarth, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister.
Most importantly, they chatted about who would win the Iron Throne.
Nikolaj was quite convinced that Dany would take the throne.
Gwendoline guessed Bran and calmly talked about time-travel and why Bran’s wise mind would allow him to take the throne.
