As you may have heard, a new tell-all book about the Royal family has just been released and it sounds JUICY AF! Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family hit bookshelves on August 11th and is already making headlines.
The book is obviously not written by anyone officially involved with the family, but by Royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
The book details Meghan and Harry’s past two years in the public eye as newlyweds and new parents. It also details Meghan and Kate Middleton’s relationship, which has been rumoured to be strained.

According to the book, as published by Entertainment Tonight , recalls the two duchess’s initial encounter, which happened back in January 2017.
The book claims that Kate was “extremely guarded,” per *Entertainment Tonight.*
She “had seemingly not shown much interest in finding out who this woman was who had made her brother-in-law so happy.”
The authors insist, however, that they don’t believe Kate’s first impression had anything to do with Meghan, but more so with Kate’s private personality.

Finding Freedom reports that Meghan helped smooth over their meeting by gifting Kate a soft leather Smythson notebook as a belated birthday gift.
The book then claims: “The meeting ended with Kate letting Meghan know that she was always welcome to contact her if she needed anything.”

While this initial meeting was reportedly pleasant enough, Finding Freedom goes on to say Meghan and Kate just never really ~ connected ~ like sisters.
“The truth was Meghan and Kate just didn’t know each other that well … Though it was not necessarily her responsibility, Kate did little to bridge the divide,” authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand explain.

They added that while the ladies “were not at war with each other,” there definitely were some “awkward moments” between Kate and Meghan.
