I LOVE when science backs up things we already know, like when you find out naps are healthy for you or that having a little bit of chocolate every day can actually have significant health benefits.
Well, it seems science has done it again by giving up new data about how Jeopardy! fans feel about LeVar Burton’s snub, and how they feel about the new host, Mike Richards.

As you most likely know by now, executive producer Mike Richards will be the new daily host of *Jeopardy!*.
Actress Mayim Bialik will also occasionally host as well, but she’s got the primetime and spin-off special duties.
You know who won’t be hosting? LEVAR BURTON!
LeVar Burton is someone many *Jeopardy!* fans have been rooting for since the search for a new host began.
His hosting skills were tested last month as he took to the podium for a two-week run. Needless to say, fans were obsessed and were eagerly awaiting news that he had landed the full-time hosting gig.
Now, a new poll is confirming what I could have already told you!
The poll, released by Morning Consult revealed that fans would have preferred LeVar to host Jeopardy! over Mike Richards.
What is: not surprising at all?
Getting into the numbers, LeVar received 14% of the votes, while Mike only got a dismal 3%.
At least now we can officially say that this decision was incorrect and that Mr. Burton deserved a lot more!
